I've slept in my 2dr, but I have the rear seats removed and 2” of foam padding on the floor. Also, only 5'6”, so it wasn't bad with the front seats all the way forward
Awesome! Three questions:
  1. Did you sleep diagonal or Straight?
  2. Was your head by the seat or tailgate?
  3. Could you stretch out flat or were your legs bent?

Because the seats pushed forward are at a 45, I was able to gain a few inches in length for my head by stacking a Xtra blanket and pillow behind the passenger seat. This allows me to lay flat, straight not sideways, but at an incline with my head higher than my feet.

Sweet, great perspective! Love how you mounted the High Lift. Is that a DIY rear seat delete?

Excellent idea on the hi-lift mount!

So you're looking at about 62" from the back of the seat slid all the way forward at floor level. If you had a platform a foot tall or so you could get up to 66" or so, little more depending how much angle you like your neck at.

I guess you could prop your head up agains the back of the passenget chair or go diagonal. Not terrible. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Unfortunately the seat doesn't lean very far forward. There's a lot of room to slide more and lean more if the hardware would allow it.

It's too bad it doesn't tilt and lift like the Jeeps.

I used to build special longer seat tracks with more movement, on isuzu VXs, I think its possible on the Bronco and also could be very helpful for passengers getting in and out of the rear.

There's 5 more inches before the bottom cushion hits the glove box. I might be interested in extended slides myself.

Now that I think about it...there must be a stopper on the rails in the front. If there was a way to remove them and keep sliding it forward off the rail. That might work, kind of a pain to put it back on I'd assume, but if its just once in a while for camping it might work. Can any of you visually see a stopper on the front?

I did a search and only found one thread with some brief discussion and some measurements. But the measurements were to the folded seat, not with a seat delete and the passenger/driver seats fully forward. I'm curious if anyone has utilized something like the Goose Gear setup to successfully sleep in the back of a 2 door. I take delivery in a few weeks, otherwise I wold have gotten the tape measure out myself. Any thoughts?

Super easy to make a plywood platform that sits on top of the rear seats. When folded, they are about 2.5 inches high. You just need to make some kind of frame for the cargo area, I've seen one where it was just 3 board running from the back up to the seats with the plywood resting on the seats. A little carpet and you're done for under $200. No need to remove the seats. There are a few peeps on 6G that have done this to good effect.

Goose gear review.
