Slippery mode in 2H for rain?

Drove in rain for the first time today. I’m new to part-time 4WD vehicles, so I apologize if this is a stupid question. I know I shouldn’t run the vehicle in 4H just because it’s raining (since turning on pavement in 4wd is discouraged). My question is, does enabling slippery mode and switching to 2H when it’s raining offer any advantages over simply driving in normal or eco mode? I know I have traction control regardless of GOAT mode, but I wasn’t sure what else goes on behind the scenes in slippery mode.

UPDATE: Sorry for the confusion, but I do not have 4A. My choices are 2H, 4H, and 4L.

Edit: I believe slippery mode also tames the throttle somewhat like eco mode. Can’t answer your specific question otherwise, but I and several others on the forum sometimes drive in 4H in the rain, and most agree you won’t hurt anything because traction is compromised.
Personally I only do it when it’s the first rain in a while and the road is “greasy” and extremely slick. Opinions and use case will vary.

@murrman When it is raining I personally drive in Sport Mode. The reason being is when you take off from a light, your acceleration is kicked in on all four wheels rather than just your rear wheels. I would never never drive in 4H on pavement whether it be dry or wet.

That only works with the advanced Transfer Case. He does not have that. You should just shift to 4A. That’s what it’s there for.

You’re right I did make assumptions based on his question and then I looked at what he was driving and understood why he was asking. I don’t mean to offend anybody. I just understood the question and why he was asking it based on what what him and I both drive.

I dont see where it gives model specifics in his post, signature, avatar or anywhere else. Where do you see it? I'd like to not make the same mistake.

Slippery mode definitely tames the throttle. I wouldn’t be surprised if it also does something to traction/stability control.

This is what I see on my phone app. And if you click on the picture, you can see his profile and even blow that picture up by clicking on it again. I apologize. I thought everybody had the same view that I do on my phone.

I usually stay in 2H with rain. Perhaps a bit of slip from a stop sign on uphill turn, but ... I just drive it. Any advanced skills required for staying in 2H? I don't feel that skilled.... hahha

If it rains hard enough for 4H, it is usually too much rain coming down to see or drive in safely and I pull over and wait out the squall/weather cell for the 5 or 10 minutes needed. That's my experience.
