The stellantis bashing seems unfair. I had a grand Cherokee with the 5.7 and it ran forever, until it ran out of gas, because I couldn’t shut it off, because the transmission sensors wouldn’t recognize the vehicle was in park so you couldn’t shut it off. So don’t pick on their engines you mean ole internet.....
There's always going to be a person who "had one forever and never had a problem"...

The Hemi could have a 90% failure rate and you will still find people who never had an issue. One persons good experiene doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme. It's when you start seeing a steady correlation of failures.

Ok. I'm sorry but it's one 2.7 after another failing. This is getting to be waaay more concerning as the weeks go on.

I'm getting to the point where I'm either going to change my order to the 2.3L or switch to a Jeep.

If you don't think this is a big deal just wait until you finally get your Bronco after months to years of waiting and then it grenades and your Bronco ends up at a dealership getting fixed for months. Not something I'm willing to go through.

Just listen to this guy's story. Um yeah. No thanks. Definitely don't want to be another 2.7 casualty. Honestly these quality issues are pissing me off. Not really excited to get a Bronco anymore. You??
can you transfer your order to me... and go buy a jeep?

There are tens of thousands of 2.7 Bronco out there now. If 5% have catastrophic failure, it would be surprising. I think “super online” people are simply confirming what they already suspect. It’s all anecdotal.

Doesn't seem anyone wants to be objective about this issue in this Forum. Waaaay to many Ford die hards here.

The bottom line is i want my dam Bronco that I ordered and have been waiting for since July 2020. But what I don't want is major engine issues or other problems after waiting for so long. Ford just needs to get a fire lit under there ass and beef up the quality control.

All car manufacturers are trying to navigate this Covid-19 pandemic the best they can. But Ford seems to be having the worst problems out of everyone. Just facts. Jeep people are bitching that their orders are taking 12 weeks or so from oder to ship. They need to try waiting almost 2 years.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous and the engine issue only makes it worse. Now apparently people wheeling the Bronco in the real world are having issues with the steering system and weak tie rods. Is this the next thing? Hopefully Ford addresses all this crap before they build mine.

I am on my 3rd Wrangler now with zero mechanical issues. The only real warranty work was to replace batteries. I have had THREE new batteries paid for by Warranty, including the one in our current JLU on the third day of ownership. I think mechanically, Jeeps are sound, but they use bargain basement garbage batteries lol.
yeah man jeeps definitely come with some inherent issues as well.

Do i dare share with OP all of the corrosion issues on jeeps? :ROFLMAO: i'd rather have an engine replaced under warranty, rather than a whole new hack job of a paint job under warranty. The hinge corrosion is a matter of when, not if. Versus this rare 2.7 issue

OP, I'm AMKRubicon610 on the wrangler forum, if you wanna read about all of the preventative measures i took on my brand new $45K jeep lol. Have fun reading and let me know when you change your mind about getting a jeep :)

I think we are looking at it objectively, as in, we aren't worrying ourselves sick over a small percentage of failure rates. I've seen somewhere around 15 at this point over FB groups & B6G. I feel this is a conservative guess, may be a few more. I am a bit worried that this is a trend of a repeat failure... Im sure that Ford is on top of that because they don't want to replace thousands of engines (Im sure theyd rather take these vehicles in preventatively and replace the valves/retainers/etc prior to true failure). They aren't giving us any information so all we have is speculation. But as far as Im concerned, ANYTHING can fail on any car at any time... we are buying a brand new car with a warranty, with 24/7 roadside assistance (in the event you dont carry AAA like I do anyways, Your B comes with it) and Ford has been repairing these without issue in every case.. and even if your dealer isn't cooperative, Ford corporate has been. I have seen offers for temporary replacement vehicles, payment takeover, etc). This seems to be, being handled properly.

We can worry ourselves sick over the what-ifs or have some faith that if something goes bad due to a defect it will be covered as it should be.

I have a 2.7 being built in the next few weeks and I absolutely have zero desire to switch/cx my order to a 2.3 even if this trend continues.. give me that 2.7, ill take my chances.

You had a 392 and your worried about a 2.7?
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Maybe the Bronco isn't for your. I would suggest something along the lines of a corolla or civic for you.
Says the tough guy with the 2.3 Bronco. I guess you can talk shit because you have nothing to worry about. And what's wrong with the 392? It's 500hp and I averaged 21 mpg on the highway driving easy and 17mpg ripping around. And it was bullet proof. Only major issue I've ever heard anyone having with the 392 was when people went and Super Charged them.

I don't think you get my point. I am not worried sick. I just don't want to wait 2 years for a vehicle and then have it end up in a shop for months. I sold my truck back in July 2020 to get the Bronco and my wife and I have been splitting her vehicle the entire time waiting for the Bronco. I need a vehicle now!!! This has been extremely hard. I can't imagine getting it and then losing it for months over an issue.

I already know about the corrosion issue with Jeeps. It's a huge reason I'm getting the Bronco. I just want Ford to fix this issue because I don't want to deal with a blown engine and have it sit in a shop for months. The Ford dealerships near me don't have the best turn around times. Believe me!!

You'd get a loaner & would have your B back within a reasonable amount of time 🤷‍♀️ First world problems.
