Sticker MSRP $200 more than purchase order

I just noticed the MSRP shown on my window sticker that was recently generated is $200 higher than that of the signed purchase order I have. The difference appears to be under the "base price" line item. Just curious if the dealer has to or is likely to accept the lower price when I go take delivery.

The dealer can do anything they want. They should ,as most do , honor the price at the time you ordered though.

Have there been MY24 price increases already? Can you post your order sheet and window sticker so we can have a look?

As far as honoring the original price, the dealer should only charge you the price at time of order. The dealer will then confirm with Ford that the sale went to the original order placer and they themselves will get credited back the price increase. This is commonly referred to around here as Retail Price Protection.

Yes there was a $200 increase. You should be price protected back to your original order.

when I bought my 2023 there was a mid year price increase between order and delivery. The sticker was $750 higher. Dealer used the order sheet price to write contract. They didn't even question it.

I think my MSRP on my Base was >> $1500 than the contract price when I bought it in 2022. The dealer honored the original contract price.

I guess you'll find out what kind of dealer you're working with.

So I was informed my Bronco arrived today. Asked to be sent over OTD pricing and of course it was the sticker MSRP. I mentioned the difference and the salesperson said it would be reviewed by Ford for price protection after the sale and they'll send me a check if it qualifies. How hard should I push back here?

Edit: just read through the price protection thread and it appears price protection comes from the dealer directly and not from Ford as my salesperson implied?

Price protection can also come from Ford. The dealer can decide to do it either way. Guys, its only $200 bucks. Take your bronco and be happy.
