Anyone have reviews on stock BD grabber tires with optional factory rims ? And photos too? Are they big enough ? Do they look small for bronco truck size? Please share photos of those who are driving one. Thanks !!

They are not a horrible tire, but like most things, it depends what you’re doing with them. They don’t look too bad on a stock Black Diamond either. Here is a pic of what my stock (only for a short while now) Black Diamond looks like with the General Grabber tires.

Thanks. honestly for now just the look. Are they beefy enough to fit the look of the truck?

Upgrading tires and wheels were on my list before I tool delivery, but once I saw it in person, I was extremely impressed with the look and performance.

I think they look great on the 2 doors. Been fine on the street and off-road so far. About 5k miles.

Thanks. I’m getting a four door so I guess my questions are regarding that.

I am fairly happy with the wheel/tire combo. I was thinking of upgrading first thing, but the black steel is understated in a good way. Size compared to overall Bronco is proportional imo. No complaints about the grabbers after 10k

Good to know. All I see is 35 inch on most broncos so far and I am a little concerned it won’t fit the size of truck and may be undersized. . Thanks for input.

In person they fit the truck and look great. I was concerned about that as well but had to have the steelies and very glad it all worked out.

Had the same thoughts about the OBX non-sqtch. All you see on the early purchases around here are 35 and 37s.

Finally ran into a guy who had just got his OBX with 32s and yeah, it looked great. Good proportions. I said , cool another $3K I can put towards something else right now.

I'll probably change the wheels out in a year or two, but for right now I'm happy.

I have seen the BD on stock steelies with Grabbers, they look good but are a little small to fill out the wheel wells that were designed to fit 35” tires. Honestly they are fine and will give a better ride/handling/MPG than larger tires. I’m sure if you decide to upgrade there will be a bunch of Base or Big Bend owners looking to buy your takeoffs.

I couldn’t leave well enough alone and spent the $3K to upgrade my Badlands from 33” to 34” on Methods. I didn’t love the stock Badlands wheel. I almost kept the stock 285/70R17 BFG tires, but I put a thread on here for either just my Badlands wheels or the package and a member here bought the package. I figured since the opportunity was there to upgrade the tires I would and ordered the Toyo Open Country AT3 in 285/75R17. I can report that 34” tires in no way negatively impacted the drive or feel of the Bronco to me. Without recalibrating the odometer I’m averaging 18-18.5 MPG (compared to window sticker of 17/17), first gear is low enough it makes no difference off the line, and compared to most 4x4’s I’ve owned it corners great.

I have a 2 dr non-sas BD on order. Have seen a few on the road around here and each time I’ve done a double-take, assuming the tires were larger replacements for the 265/70 grabbers. Each time I’ve been pleasantly surprised that it was the grabbers. Stance of a 2 dr with 32” tires is great.
