Hi all!

I'm the guy who started that Bronco thread on the Jeep forum! Learned a bit since that Bronco event. Love my Jeep but also huge fan of the Bronco, just sharing some thoughts!

Interior:
- I've since learned what I saw in person was the marine grade leather. I'm not a huge leather fan in general so I'd be going for the cloth regardless OR the standard leather. As mentioned family member has an F150, leather seems great on that.
- In terms of the hard plastics ETC I was expecting F150 and it just seemed to fall short, maybe was the demo model? For example the window switches etc felt a bit lighter and cheaper than I was expected. The cup holder plastic felt thin, the plastic region above the dash seemed a little flimsy. Comparing to the wrangler of course, the Jeep has hard plastics I do feel theyre just a bit most substantial feeling.
- The larger Bronco screen no comparison to my Wrangler, size matters :)
- My biggest issue was with the accent colors. I'm just not a big fan of the blue and yellow accents, but I've seen other Bronco photos that don't have these colors?
- Overall I really love the look and feel, it's not 100% flawless but neither is the Wrangler.

Exterior:
- Overall I love it and in the certain configuration I'd say I may give it a slight edge over my Wrangler.
- Personally I think the 4 door Wrangler is better looking in terms of lines and proportions over the 4 door Bronco. That opinion could sway if depending on the config.
- I'm a HUGE fan of the 2 door Bronco. I think the proportions are spot on and I'd probably pick it as the favorite over the Wrangler.
- I haven't seen a set of wheels I truly love but some are really nice. Wrangler kindof the same thing, a few are gross.
- Can't speak to reliability, but Bronco wins easily in terms of engine choices
- I understand the soft top manufacturer is the same on Bronco and Wrangler. That being said I still believe what I saw at the demo was several levels below the Wranglers soft top. Specifically how it appears to be looser fitting on top and how the rear window is wavy. It's a moot point for me as I would get a hard top.

Final thoughts:
- As mentioned I LOVE the new Bronco, and in the right setup could even give it slight edge over Wrangler.
- I cannot speak to off roading as the closest thing I do is drive on beach.
- I leased a 2018 JL and now own a 2021 JL. If the timing worked better and was able to get a similar discount I would have seriously considered the Bronco.
- Photos below are current Wrangler vs Bronco I'd love to purchase. Also love antimatter, would get LEDs maybe some other goodies but get the gist.

This was really funny to read, all the complaints were pretty silly. All of the “Jeep person” arguments boil down to is mine is better than yours. Especially on the interior quality being worse (as long as it doesn't rattle at all, I’m good, and it will be more than adequate).

I could compare both the Jeep and the Bronco to the interior on my Ferrari. Yes, the leather seats in my Ferrari are much better. The convertible top, once again, far superior (until the hydraulics stop working). So one and so forth... it's silly. The Bronco interior, is fine for it's intended audience and use.

Funny hearing any Jeep fan say anyone else’s materials look cheap.

Saw a meme on Facebook the other day, it was a picture of a wrangler pulling a bronco sport out of the sand and the caption was, buy Ford get pulled out by the vehicle the Ford tried to imitate. Seriosuly don’t know the difference. Lol

All this banter back and forth reminds me of when Indian Motor Cycle back out in 2014. All the Harley fan boys talked shit. But in the end you still respect each other and some will still hate. It bet it will be the same Jeep and Bronco owners!

Hi all, its me again! So just to clarify, not a Jeep diehard guy. I love cars, love the Jeep, love the Bronco, pros and cons to both. Would 100% buy a Bronco. In no way saying Wrangler is a better car, in fact I said I'd love to own a Bronco and feel the 2 door is overall the better looking car.

The comments are entertaining. I get it, there are sides. I told a buddy of mine that I was going to get a Bronco and he was literally mad at me, like I was cheating on Jeep. 🤦‍♂️ When I was sitting in the Bronco at the dealer, I just tried to remember that I was in a pre-production model and that the production vehicles should be better.
I've been a Jeep guy for a long time, owning a few of them, but have always loved the 1st generation Broncos. Then again I have a love/hate relationship with Jeep. As mine gets older, the more money and time has to be spent in its direction. Honestly, I need to stop doing that. I bought the Jeep to be out in the wild, hunting and fishing. There are times now that I don't trust it to get me home anymore. I love her, but I think it is time to move on and see someone else.... the Bronco is a looker. I also think that Bronco will be killer off-road, and with the factory lift I can actually take it to the Ford dealer when it breaks. I can't do that with my modified Jeep. They always screw something up because the dealer mechanics aren't equipped to work on it with my suspension. Just the truth. I cannot wait to get my Bronco.

Great, now I’m second guessing my choice to buy a Bronco!!!!

"Build day assigned!!! Aug 13th Anti Matter Blue 4 door Base Sasquatch, automatic, 2.7, auxillary switches, and key pad entry.
Reserved Oct 31st 2020 with Granger's $2,000.00 below invoice deal. Converted to an order 3/10/21
Vin received 5/27/21 with a build week that was 7/26/2021 changed to 8/9/2021, build day assigned 8/13/21"

how und hell did you get a build date on an october granger reservation for a sasquatch 2.7 when there has to be 10K similar/lesser builds reserved within the first 2 days? i have a granger second day reservation for a banks 2.7, no squatch, no tow, no hardtop, and no build date. somebody explain it to me!

Soft top is the only way it’s possible.

There is another part to the story as well. The October reservation was my second one (I also had an initial July reservation for a two door Sasquatch’d Base). Then the October deal came along and I thought with the savings I could upgrade a few things. So reserved a second Bronco. Thinking which ever one got a vin 1st I would buy then cancel the other.
So fate played a part and my first reservation has indeed been canceled.

It's Friday and hard to focus on work, especially since my 2 door Black Diamond Bronco is supposed to be built next week (Blend Date 7/15)....

We've owned Jeeps for the last 20 years-currently have his and her 1998 XJ Sports. We really enjoy them. They have taken us into and back out of the backcountry for years with relative ease and comfort. I've never owned a Ford and never seriously considered buying a Bronco (despite having always lusted over well built 1G Broncos). To be honest, I probably wouldn't be excitedly waiting for my Bronco now, except my wife reserved one for me last July as an anniversary gift. I didn't know much about the 6G Bronco then, but after some research quickly became a huge fan! Even then, I built (countless) variations of a 2 door JL and a 2 door Bronco before placing my Bronco order last January. I decided on the Bronco based on the following (Bronco Black Diamond vs. Jeep Willys).
  • The 2 door Bronco is much better looking than a 2 door JL. If I was getting a 4 door, the Jeep would win the looks contest.
  • I can get a real rear locker in the Bronco, without having to also pay for a front locker. To get a real locker in the Jeep (the "Anti-Spin" isn't a locker), I'd have to get the Rubicon or get an aftermarket one installed.
  • The 2D Bronco is a little bigger than the 2D JL. The longer wheelbase and additional rear cargo space is a big differentiator to me.
  • The Bronco mirrors don't come off with the doors.
  • The Bronco roof doesn't have the center bar--better experience for those in the back.
  • The Bronco (with the 10 speed) has Turn Assist, which will be really nice on the tight switchback roads we frequent.
  • The Bronco has a better engine (both the 2.3L and 2.7L).
  • With the Advanced 4x4, 4.46 gearing, the low 1st gear the Bronco has a better crawl ratio than a comparable JL.
  • I really like the Marine Grade Vinyl vs. a cloth interior.
  • Ultimately, I think that the only thing the JL might have over the Bronco is the SFA. I've owned a couple IFS (torsion bar suspension) Toyotas over the years and they were definitely inferior to our XJs when crawling around on the rocks in SE and Central Utah. However, with the coil over suspension and decent wheel travel (for an IFS), I'm certain the Bronco will be more than adequate on the rocks (although I imagine I'll be using the rear locker much more often). Conversely, the IFS Bronco will certainly outperform on the wash board roads and such. So in the end--it's a push (even).
Still love Jeeps though and will be keeping my XJ around.

Its hilarious at the other point of view. That Ford is of lesser quality than Mopar. JEEP IS TRASH. Specifically the more modern stuff. Lifter issues, rocker issues, the engineering behind them isn't impressive either. Since FIAT took them over I have been even less thrilled. Jeep is hard plastic trash. They are ragging on the accent colors, every RUBICON HAS A RED DASH
I literally throw up in my mouth every time I see a red dash in the jeeps.
