First post here. If a 4 door Bronco is delivered with the soft top, can it be replaced with a factory hardtop in the future. If so, is it plug and play or does it require drilling and a difficult installation? Thanks!

Not trying to be a dick because I am usually the one to say it's not a big deal to post something that has been talked about, but use the search for this. It has been spoken about a lot. To answer your question you can fit a hard top down the road but it will not have the hookups if you get a soft top first and the rumor is you can't order the hardtop separately as an accessory. You will have to wait till aftermarket and I doubt ford will have any extra hard tops anyway for a while. Welcome to the forums and search first or the animals on here will tear you apart

Yes. You will need to email Ford directly at the Assembly Plant and talk to Robert Hondors. He is the only one that can do it for you. There is also an additional $15,000 up charge for the service. Charged as soon as you email.

Yes plug and play but no hookup for rear wiper/washer or defrost. Will have to purchase aftermarket kits for that. Unfortunately the soonest you'll be able to purchase a MIC top only from FORD parts department may be 12-18 months out.

Yeah, don't get run off by that stuff by any means, if you plan to stick around, the search function isn't the ultimate here anyway
So much uncertainty with the tops right now and going soft then hard later (if, when, how long), you won't even find a completely accurate answer anyway besides what we know currently about the lack of hookups
