Switched to soft top on 7/22 and got in the first batch of scheduling. Kept all of my many sins. But I'm the #1 allocation at my dealer so that probably played a part.

I'm happy with the soft top and it's what I originally wanted. But I refused to order it without the prep kit.

Yup. First 12hr 2dr WT reservation here. After much discussion and thought, we've made the switch to the damn 4dr soft top.
Which trim did you switch to?

I have a BL, 2.7l, SAS, and tow. Like I said, I am not getting my hopes up.
There were a lot of Broncos schedule last thursday with these specs, so I don't think these are sins with the FE and WT on hold waiting on new tops. I also have a BL, 2.7, SAS and tow on order. I hope to get scheduled this as well.

Congrats.

It’s the wife’s rig and her only requirement was the Lux option so made sense to go OBX. I also sobered up and realized we didn’t need SAS and 35’s being she is 5’3.

We camp, fish, and hunt so will use for that but no heavy duty wheeling so non SAS suspension will do. Of course we’ll go aftermarket on wheel and tires probably through Granger. At peace with decision. Hope to see this fall.

Have they fixed the issues with the soft tops? Or are we all just choosing the lesser of two evils at this point? I’ve been debating making the switch for now, but I feel like there are still issues with the soft top, too.

About two hours after reveal. That's how long it took to get through.
Yeah, I am a late day two, so I am bracing myself for the continued wait. Ha

Looked like MAP had a lot of non-scheduled weeks since the initial hard top announcement, plus hard top uncertainty issues is probably why people haven't seen much movement. With the scheduling resuming last week plus removing all the non-FE hard tops from the queue probably opened up a lot of bandwidth now.

Until we run into the next scarce item...

I wish Ford would cost protect an added hardtop for those of us that want one but need a vehicle now. The hard top is $695 now, but any idea on the shipping? Would there be a need for installation costs, or would it be a simple install for me? I'm going to email my dealer tomorrow, but anyone have any insight on this? Thanks in advance.

It's a simple install, but expect it to be north of $3000 to buy.
