I thought I would be another Guinea pig And try out a new part With assistance from @Bmadda for his critical measurements, we Have a NEW replacement CV joint available now for the Bronco rear drive line. This is most helpful for the two-door Clan as we have the short drive line and greater angle. Ford doesn't offer a replacement joint and spicers Driveline comes with a new joint but it isn't any better than the Ford OEM original. This new Teraflex part does have slightly more angle available in the joint and the boot feels more rubbery and seems to flex a bit more so hopefully the boot will remain intact for longer before destroying itself like the OEM One does. I took the time to do some research and called Teraflex and got the drawings of both of the Jeep CVS they have available and the JL model is an exact match the spline count is the same and the bolt pattern is the same and the diameter is the same. Additionally I will be sending in a stock two-door Factory Driveline to Teraflex so that they may build new Drive Lines for us with new high angle CV joints attached to both ends. I like this part because it is easily replaceable and you don't have to buy a whole Drive Line and you could keep a spare one with you if you thought it was going to wear out a break similar to the U-joint. Eventually when I upgrade the power train to a lot more horsepower I'll likely upgrade the Driveline to a double carton 1410 series chromoly heavy duty but for now I'm going to try out this Teraflex joint and see how it works on my Spicer Driveline. I'll include the part number as well and here's a ton of pictures so folks can see how nice it is that this upgrade fits.

just double checked and it fits rear yoke as well as transfer case yoke ....also a pic of a BAD OEM boot, so folks know what to look for...this happens on Transfer case side on rear of 2drs.

and what a new boot looks like.

Which one is the bad boot. 😂

curious if they mentioned the allowable angles? Is the boot geometry any different from OEM or you think just a slightly different material compound?

Nice to have simple options, thanks @BigMeatsBronco

What really sucks about this is Ford dealers have been told NOT to warranty these if the vehicle has ANY lift at all. I tried 2 dealers and the second one basically told me that he would be buying me a driveshaft because the claim would bounce...he claims Ford can tell mine is lifted just by looking at the part. I don't believe that, but I got tired of arguing, and the parts mgr volunteered to sell me one at his absolute cost, so now I have a spare. Will order a couple of these rzeppas till we can get a tom woods style built! Thanx again @BigMeatsBronco !

EDIT: I actually have parted ways w/my selling dealer over this issue! Well that and they are kinda aholes about certain stuff. Took all my wholesale parts business elsewhere

We have a flange that bolts up to the t-case and diff ends.
What we are working on is a 1350 cv head adapter, as far as we know no one has one built yet. Ours is in the prototype stage now.

you mean like this?...only needs "shortened" to be a direct fit on transfer case side, and the pattern and pilot fits BOTH 1350 Double cardon AND the monster sized 1410/1430 series too.

A flange that bolts up the the existing yokes is cheap and easy, HOWEVER it actually shortens the driveline length (between the joints) and is Inferior to a setup with new "flat" yoke-flanges that keep the joints as far apart as possible...on 2drs every inch matters.

I'll be providing a simple parts list for an indestructible HD double cardon rear drive line next month in both a 1350 and a 1410 size.

You will find the splines are not the same as the original companion flange, do not try to force a fit you will dammage the t-case output shaft.

Would your work here be relevant at all for 4Dr and/or Raptor crowd?
