Oh boy. I went to the Land Rover site and just played around with the Defender... their build and price has about a million options and accessories. Yes, they're pricier but great tech options (if you want), heated AND cooled seats, more towing capacity... the price is close enough to my loaded Badlands build that I'm kind of thinking of going to check one out.

Shiny often seems to win over patience, for me. It also doesn't help that I suggested it to the wife and she thinks I should test drive one.

I'll be back... have to go re-measure the garage.

That person should take delivery of that Bronco on their reservation. I’d bet they wouldn’t, because on top of stealing the reservation I’m sure the dealer would tell them the price is $75k so they walk.

This is interesting... I'm signed up for a Chicago event for tomorrow. I have a Ford Pass account from my current F150, but my email doesn't include point #5 you've highlighted. Is this a dealer allowed "things to remember" or a Ford one?

It seems to be a dealer association thing. Kind of like the $25 gift card to test drive the new " " offers. This was in the Detroit area but I thought I saw the same in a few other locations/states when looking at dealer events in other states. I had to verify my account at sign in at the dealer so it would not hurt to ask. Maybe print the one for Detroit and ask why they are not offering the same deal. Note though I did not need the incentive to get me to go see the Bronco in person. It was worth getting a better feel of what I am purchasing. Waiting now for the test drives.

Long time listener, first time caller. I used to make fun of the "old guys" in their mid life crises buying their 'vettes or Porsches and then the shirts, hats, keychains, and driving gloves to match. Now, with each passing day of no build email, I find myself buying Bronco hats... shirts... stickers... I'm becoming the very thing I grew up hating. On an completely unrelated note, if anyone knows of any good off-road driving gloves...

Me too buddy. I don’t feel like it would’ve been such a bad letdown if I hadn’t felt so confident that I’d go from previewing to VIN#. I feel ya.
