I was about ot start building my own downpipe, I'll wait now. The turbo lag drives me crazy on the stock pipes, my 2.3 Mustang was a totally different animal after a downpipe and tune...

I wonder if there are any other manufacturers thinking about making downpipes for the 2.3l, maybe we get the list going and forward to other manufacturers too. I mean there are quite or few of us who want this, competition is good and whoever is first to market will basically capture the market.

Lag? What lag? Flat ground at 50mph and my rig is right on the edge of boost.. could literally sneeze on the pedal and see 2lbs lol.

Been waiting on one. Problem is no one offers a custom tune for the 2.3L so it won’t do much for performance until someone does. I also have a spare turbo sitting in a box ready to be sent off to CRP in Canada for their stage 3 54mm turbo upgrade, as of now it’s just a paperweight

It not identical. This was discussed in another thread. The turbos are the same but the curves in the pipe are not. There is something about this downpipe that is a issue, several other companies have been developing on for the 2.3 now for quite sometime (over a year) with no products coming to market.without a custom tune the downpipe is basically a waste of money. Juggernaut performance is still working on software for their custom tune but outside of them no one has made any real progress on a tune for the 2.3. Livernois was our best hope but they have no plans on doing one for the 2.3 as of now.

Downpipes make a difference tuned or not..

You're not getting 100%.. no.. but improvement is improvement.

It’s more flow but to get 40-60hp gains, you need a tune. 3” from the turbo back is definitely better than the factory 2.75 size. After the downpipe back exhaust you would also want a bigger turbo I would assume, at least I certainly do

PLUS, while everything is taking forever, eventually they'll crack the ECU, and real tunes will be available to boot, so everything we have installed prior will be capitalized upon
