I’m amazed at the legs this thread has...

... but it’s still a ways off from a new high score.
Thanks for adding to the score!! 🤣

We have this thing in public safety we call the "off duty salute." We do it when we're off the clock and we're passing an incident our compatriots are busy working and might be able to use a hand with...

You look down and put your hand up to block the side of your face so no one can recognize or make eye contact with you. If they try to get your attention, you just ignore them and pretend they're not there.
I like to call that The Blinder

In Montana, "The Wave" is raising the index finger of the hand at the top of the steering wheel. So, should be something different for the Bronco. I like your idea!
FUCK THIS EXPLAINS A LOT! I was hunting in Montana last November (I’m from Washington) and everyone kept waving their index finger at us whenever we drove by in my buddy’s truck. I figured it was some local thing but you just confirms it for me.

That's hilarious! I'm gonna buzz out a few of those on my Cricut and stick them on friends cars when they aren't looking to see how long it takes them to notice.
Put it on the drivers side mirror cap and take pics.

The index finger was used in the 80s down south too. Its not vehicle specific. In fact? Anyone who thinks a wave is vehicle specific is........*will get banned on forum for saying it*

Yea.....that dumb.

I’m new to waving. Is this with the left hand or the right? If I am wearing gloves do I have to take the off to wave? I keep seeing post about gvwr, were they really trying to post gloves and made a typo? Should my gloves match the seat colour or the accent stripe in the grab handle? Is waving safe in the snow?

I never really took the Wrangler wave as a specific gesture - just something to acknowledge each other. When I had my first wrangler years ago it was nice because the wranglers were still not overly common but now there are so many on the road it’s lost it’s luster. But when the Broncos (not the baby Broncos) start appearing on the roads it will be tough not to acknowledge each other because for the initial years there won’t be that many on the road. Likely will just point to the other Bronco (no secret wave). And in my view it is reserved for just for the big Broncos not the Sports (sorry Sport owners).
