Thoughts on hood idea….

Way back I had a Mack R700 tractor and dump trailer. White tractor and glare off hood was unbearable. I masked off top of hood and rattle canned matte black. Problem solved. Had to respray every 6 months.
That was before wraps and the cool stuff we have now.

I always liked louvers on hoods. I had a pair of louver cutters way back . 6 inch and 8 inch. Did my Healey 3000 , Spitfire and FJ 40.
Don't see it much any more..
You guys make me remember all the ways we used to chop up vehicles. One time I had an old 64 Jag sedan. Took a Sawzall and made a roadster out of it.
Then you could buy them in good shape for 300 bucks.
Ok I'm done boring you guys with this stuff...at least for a day or 2.

I took sawzalls to both my Jeeps hoods to instal louvers. In the SoCal heat off-roading I wanted all the hot air out of the engine bay asap. Looks great too. I’m guessing the bronco will get a custom hood too

btw, if you haven’t taken a sawzall to your car is it really even yours?

I had the rear of my Bronco wrapped, and decided to add some matte black to the hood too, to balance it out a bit. It also helps cut down on glare from headlights reflecting off the hood. Had it on my Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk too - That’s where I borrowed the idea from.

Me and my brother did it custom, he does a ton of vinyl work and has wrapped several cars. Going to do some sort of mountain design on the side next!

I have been hoping that someone will eventually come out with a hood that eliminates the trail sights. I know that there are trail sight deletes out there, but the front would look so clean with a single hood.

Thanks! Went through 5 days in Baja, really didn’t get that bad. Dusty, I just sprayed the engine down.

LOL! I couldn’t do that if my life depended on it! ADV’s Heat Extractor Hood. Most get the Ram Air Hood, but I love louvers. Bought it when they had their Black Friday sale. Took almost 2 months to get, they didn’t have any in stock unfortunately.

Hey, there's a factory Wildtrak graphic for the OEM hood. I went with an AFC Ram Air Hood and plane to mimic the graphic.

Btw, nice choice... Wildtrak!!!
