Thoughts on Hood Protector Armor Aeroskin II ?

Rain does puddle up a little if sitting still, not a big deal to me. You can feel the difference in air flow, definitely think it will help with windshield rock cracks. I did have an issue with whistling noise after installing. I had to put a small piece of stick on weather stripping in front of the existing hood weather strip to fix.

In the first week after delivery I got a stone chip on my windshield.
Installed the hood deflector and no rock impacts since. Maybe coincidence, or maybe the deflector works.

I just couldn’t get over the textured and big bump I went with the shiny one. It ties into my gloss black grill better on the OBX.

Does this one stick on like the textured one with the bump? I like the looks of this one better but I really want it to match the textured trail armor on the corners. Man that bump on the textured one is hard to get past.

Yes just a stick on. If I didn’t have the gloss black grill I might have gone textured. I just thought for me this looked better.

Keep in mind, the shiny flat one really only protects the portion of the hood it covers. The ugly textured one w the big lip actually helps deflect bugs and small rocks from hitting windshield. Like it or not, that ugly hump serves a purpose.

I am used to and quite happy with being ugly. No one looks at the deflector anyway-
The textured deflector does the job and been great for almost a full year now.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I like mine a lot and don't think it's ugly. I just installed it so we'll see how it does on the way to Bronco Safari.
We're also to going to Colorado Springs for a week so it will get a good workout. I'll let you know when we get back how it does.
