I wave, 75% of the time I don’t get a wave back.
I have more fun waving at Jeeps and watching their reactions

I dont get the ‘wave’ thing. When driving my Toyota Avalon, should I wave at other people driving their Avalon? Like we’re part of some sort of secret exclusive club…….bunch of dorks
I remember the Bronco Wave in 1971. Back when cars and trucks were bad ass. Looked good, sounded good, made better, classics. It wasn't a bunch of Dorks. It was a friendly acknowledgement of having the same cool vehicle, bond so to speak.

I do remember this one time about a week after we got the bronco in Feb ‘23, we (me, wife and son) were sitting at a red light waiting to turn left and another bronco was crossing, passing in front of us, the wife (driver) and 3 kids all pointing and waving at us smiling and us waving and pointing back. I smiled for about 2 miles after that.

Nah. I don't bother in my Jeep anymore either. Back in the late 90s early 00s when I had my TJ, almost every other jeep waved. Now, it like 10% or something. People don't get the memo, or they're the 'get a jeep to be trendy' crowd and dgaf.

I will keep an eye out when I drive my 95 YJ. The jeepers wave to me when I'm in that. I watch for passing Broncos, but never got a wave yet. I guess I could be the one who initiates it, but eh.

Made better? I like your alternate universe. Can I move there? ;) Better looking and just more of a blast to drive? Absolutely. There was just less crap to break and it was easier to fix.;)

How about one flash with the windshield wipers. Unique and certainly visible.

Well I guess every cultural greeting/acknowledgement has to start somewhere.... Start the trend...

I wave. Get waves back maybe 50% of the time?

When driving my 2000 Miata the vast majority of other Miata drivers wave. Regardless of generation.

Just a quick question for my other bronco drivers do you wave to other broncos that pass you or no? I always wave and I have noticed that very few will actually wave back! I would like to know what everyone else does???
I wave when I see a fellow Bronco owner. Some wave back, some give me a thumbs up, and some don’t acknowledge me at all. Either way, I’m happy.

Lol, after 25 years of feeling forced to wave at other Wranglers and Porsches, I’m done waving.

I do view it kind of like a club! A club of (often) like-minded and adventure-spirited people who don’t drive “what everyone else drives”.

So no, I probably wouldn’t wave to Avalon drivers or Sentra drivers if I owned one of those, but I came from a Focus ST and always waved to other ST drivers, and almost always got waves back. The ST wasn’t the most special car in the world, but it was definitely a fun, smaller-than-typical subset of car, and the owners were usually people that liked to have a little more fun with (and modify) their cars. Now I wave to all Bronco drivers because I think it’s a fun!
