The 40 bit is too loose and the 45 I have won't go in. So what's the trick? I got my bumper bar from Levittown Ford Parts online and want to get at least one thing I ordered installed. The mud flaps won't work on my Badlands... 😔

5 point Security bits are not the correct bits, you need 6 point.

I ordered the 6pt. Torx plus and still stripped out a head last night using #40. The bolts where these fog kits attach to on the modular bumper are soft and very easily stripped.

The bolts they use are pure garbage. You have to make sure the tool is perfectly square and the driver still cams out of the fastener if you're not super careful. I think I'm going to start replacing them all with regular hex head bolts!

What lights are those?

I’ve not found any yet in Canada nor at amazon.ca.

Also, I’ve had some sales guys at the auto parts counter try to tell me that the “TP” actually stands for “Tamper Proof”, which are the regular Torx bits with the concave end. Having “Tamper Proof” and “Torx Plus” as the names for the types of bits is asinine and will confuse many store clerks. Be prepared to explain the differences and watch out for being sold the regular-sized Torx bits thinking they’re Torx Plus. You WILL strip your bolts while thinking it’s the bolt’s fault.

I see you got your TORX question answered. You can make the mud flaps work pretty easily. There are a bunch of treads about it.
