If you don’t order with the towing package from Ford, does it still have all the wiring needed?

sort of (but really nope).

the DIO tow kit from the dealer has the wiring for the 4 pin
but the factory tow package is required for the full 7 pin connection

Well that’s dumb. I was really hoping just to add the hitch and plug.

Nope. You can buy a Curt hitch and Curt plug and play 4 pin wiring. 7 pin can be added but a PITA and your Bronco won’t know it’s there. Plug in your trailer wiring with built in tow, rear camera shuts off as well as BLIS. With Curt wiring, camera shows you your trailer and life is still blis but you blind spots are still blind as far as your trailer is concerned.

The Curt plug n play harness installs pretty quickly. I purchased mine from etrailer.com
If you have LED lights then this is the harness you will need.

They also sell one without LED lights too.

I also bought this on Amazon so that I would have clean secure inlet on my hitch without having to drill into the bumper to mount or elsewhere.

The hitch I bought is also from Amazon and I have had no problem at all with it. I tow my boat 5 days a week with it.

I looked at that. Quite the install and I decided I wouldn’t pull a trailer that required trailer brakes so went with the curt 4 pin. Works for me.

I'd be interested in hearing if anyone had tried it too. First I have heard of it. I've been trying to figure out what to do on my new one
