I'm with you guys, but everyone that is mad, and doesn't like the way it works. Let's all collectively get up Monday morning. And call in sick to work and go to our dealer and cancel our orders. Let's show Ford that 99,987 people disagree and we want jeeps. Then leave there and find your favorite jeep dealer and everyone place a special order for a jeep before Noone time Monday eastern standard time. And flood jeep with 99,987 orders. And sit back and watch people that do not have a bronco reservation have a bronco in 8 weeks. Then we can jump on Jeep forum and bitch about why jeep. Ant build our jeeps last night... because they have more orders than they have parts... WHOS IN WITH ME!! LETS SHOW THEM!! 😂🤣
FCA USA LLC has built and sold 164,710 Wranglers and 71,458 Gladiators in the first three quarters of this year. I think they'd welcome Bronco reservation holders with open arms

But.. would 99,987 be willing to wait their turn, if we blasted them with that many orders within. 36 hrs?

Mine was a food for thought statement. And just being funny.

Something has to give. Ford will either have to break their promise of delivering all reservations before building any dealer stock, or they will have to make some 'special exceptions' to their new allocation weighting formula. Because under the new allocation formula, some reservation holders at Granger et al won't be getting their Bronco until humans are living on Mars.
Ford likely has 110,000 or so unfilled Bronco Orders from reservation holders. Based on the ability to build 600 per day (60/40 Bronco/Ranger % split) , 6 days a week, they could get ALL of them built in 7 months......parts available of course. ALL of them......yet the allocation seems to be a fraction of that. Personally....I dont get it.

Ford got a bunch of those orders in July of 2020 and many of those reservation holders are still sitting on their hands giving themselves the stranger instead of driving their Broncos in October 2021. Give Jeep half the lead time and they'll clear that out.

I get that it was a joke, I'm just amazed at how bad Ford is at managing the balance between keeping their reservation holders happy and keeping their dealer network happy.

The funniest part is that MOST of the people buying from Granger are more loyal to Granger than to Ford. It looks like Ford doesn't care if they lose a large group of Bronco orders to Jeep (which Granger also sells).🤷‍♀️

If I fall within Granger's 2022 allocation, I'll be thrilled. If not, 2023 it is. If my current vehicle craps out before my Bronco gets built or I get pushed back to 2024, I will fly to Iowa and buy something else from Granger. And since I would be pretty pissed off at Ford by that point, it won't be a Ford.😁

The slick, cheater dealer model of business cannot last much longer in our hyper-connected world. This upcoming generation is used to clicking a button to get exactly what they want, at the best price they can find, dropped off at their doorstep, within a reasonable time frame.😎

Yeah, but Ford has no obligation whatsoever to dealers who racked up a ton of Bronco orders by going way under invoice. That is a marketing decision by an individual dealership and does not commit Ford to changing the allocation system. Sure, we can whine about looking out for the customer, but it's the individual dealership that promoted the order at that price that made the commitment to that customer, not Ford. Did those dealerships have any evidence that they would actually be able to fill all of those orders or was it wishful thinking? Business, and customer satisfaction, does not run on wishful thinking. This is the real world. Tons of examples in life of when going strictly for the lowest price doesn't work out the best.
No, FORD decided to allow reservation holders to switch reservations to discount dealers. That was a decision made with their eyes open.

Yesterday’s email gave me hope. This post today returned me to the “ are they effing kidding?” Mode. I made a reservation. I was 60 years old then. I will be 62 at a minimum, before there is even a remote chance my particular Bronco may be thought about. I hopefully will reach a minimum of 80 . My main concern now has nothing to do with color, options or model. My main concern now is, will I receive a Bronco before I die. If I had a Twitter account I would pose that question to Mr. Levine.

I've cut Ford a lot of slack through all of this . . . but, really, at this stage (and pardon my language) it seems like Ford couldn't have fucked this up any more if they had set out with the single mission statement of "Let's fuck this launch up worse than anyone has ever fucked anything up before!". Well, Ford, Mission Accomplished!

I quickly agreed to MSRP. If my 2021 Badlands 2 door actually gets built I will have made the right choice. I never thought for a millisecond that any dealer offering huge discounts would be able to fulfill those orders. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. I’m fortunate in many ways this year except for the model configuration I chose. I’m still sitting at 11/15. This is the longest my one of 11 build date projections has stayed without being extended. Hoping for a reason to give thanks on Thanksgiving day. Planning on ordering a CO Bronco Sport for the wife soon, with the hopes of getting it late next year.

Perhaps Ford has much deeper 2022 supply constraints then they want to admit to, much more than just chips, and they know they will be severely limited to how many 2022 Bronco's they can build, don't know, just speculating.

Perhaps I am completely missing the issue, but I don't really understand what the problem is other than maybe a misunderstanding by customers who never knew the allocation system existed.

The dealer allocation system has always been in place, there was no message from Ford that said they were going to suspend the dealer allocation system when they implemented this new reservation system. And they never said that Broncos were going to be built in-order based on your reservation. They have always said that the reservation timestamp plays a factor, but it isn't the only factor.

So I'm not sure why everyone was expected for it turn out differently.
Oh really?
