Underside of soft top - resin already yellowing!?

Hi all,

I noticed the resin in the soft top underside panel has already yellowed. I am in shock since the vehicle is garage kept. Sure I drive with my top down, but short of some errands and less than 4 days at the office with the top down (I’m mostly WFH so she stays in the shade 80% of work days), I can’t imagine how this is already yellowing. Even if it were in the sun more, yellowing this early on is completely unacceptable

Anyone else have the same?

I can't say for sure what this is, but I can say it looks exactly like the backside of the door inserts on my 2006 Mustang GT that peeled off half/three quarters(way) of it's life with me. Which was 12 years in the Texas heat, so seeing this on a brand new vehicle is concerning.

I will say though, I think this is adhesive breaking down and will soon start to come apart.

I’m in NC so pollen is a legit thing here too, but I didn’t have the top open during The Pollening™ so I’m not sure that’s it here. I can always just call the dealer and see what they say, just wanted the Bronco crowds thoughts/experiences first.

I keep looking for excuses to pull the trigger on the Bestop. I showed a picture of it to my wife and her response was "that really makes it look more like a land rover than a bronco", which shut me down instantly. Hopefully they make a squared off version.

Mine is the same. I thought it was just pollen and I would clean it later but when I swiped it, nothing came off.

was an initial thought for me too. Clearly not the case now. I’ll unfortunately be traveling for work for a few weeks but will talk to the dealer after and see what they say

I'll wait for you all to let me know what happens so I can just go to the dealer and tell them what's needed.

I have the same issue. I keep mine in the garage as well.

The molded plastic material is “sticky” and porous which collects the particles and makes it almost impossible to wipe clean. Mine looks the same and I’m certain it’s pollen.

Mine looks the same. I noticed the color had changed but didn't think much of it.
