KARR security system huh? So, this is what protecting your Broncopic search on Google says its a KARR security system.
added on by the dealer, typically along with an upcharge during purchase for a “dealer installed accessory”
If you didn’t want it installed, I would ask the dealer to remove it. Or There are posts out there with info on how to remove it yourself if you wanted to go that route.
Probably better it stay, since they screwed it into the plastic panel. Doubt you'd want screw holes showing on your new ride.PS:
The dealer did try to sell me a $1400 security system. I made them remove it for the sale.
Guess they wanted it to stay, anyway.
Yeah, that's a classic tactic. When demand is high, they say, "too bad, can't remove it," but when they need a sale, they'll remove it from the sale, but they still like to leave it installed, partly because they don't want to expend the labor to remove it, but also if you have any financing coordinated in-house, they like to be able to track and repo as @danno4x4 said. If they get you to pay for that as well, it's a double-win for them!PS:

Ughh, you should have seen what the telemetry guys did to my old service van to install the GPS etc etc.to make sure that the wiring wasn’t damaged either during installation or removal.

Plus , the roof leaked from the antenna they mounted.
Water would chase down the cable that feeds the rearview mirror ... I would tell my passengers that the mirror was leaking "reflector fluid" .
Exactly.Self destruct button. I believe the road warrior had a similar switch. Ignites dynamite taped to the gas tank.
As I read more about it, it also apparently allows GPs tracking and remote immobilization. Likely they could use it to aid in repo activity if it came to that.
If it were me, I would remove it out myself to make sure that the wiring wasn’t damaged either during installation or removal.
