Good to know that price. Not as bad as it could have been, but not pocket change either.
Worst case still isn't too bad, relatively.
If it does not work, hopefully the $300 lesson he learns will make him reconsider next time and just put the phallic valve stem caps on your wheels next time.

My dealer installed the temporary paper tag (which always goes in rear window until plate arrives, they used to issue cardboard temp plates and then temp-stickered metal plates but our state did away with the little yearly tags in the corner) to the inside of the rear window.

After waiting the nominal month until actual registration matching the metal license plate arrived I removed the paper tag - but the adhesive tape did not come off and I did not want to scratch the vinyl - so my rear window has two strips of tape still on the inside.

Don't know yet since it is now at or below freezing if I will ask dealer to remove it when it is in for first service or if I will try Goo-Gone (obviously safe on vinyl since it comes in a plastic bottle, lol)
