Import taxes will make them the same cost as 74Weld if not more.

I would just go dana advantek with a Dana 60. You won't get more life out the stock drivetrain with that big of a tire.
You make important points I'll have to consider. There is a distributor for these near Atlanta though. Also the gear reduction is supposed to lessen the drive train strain. I've never built a portaled rig. I also am cot an engineer so I have to go by what I read. The money for this is atleast a year out if not more. I will take your thoughts into consideration and keep digging!

If your serious about portals you need to go o the sxs forums and do some research. All the portal guys have every single thing out of the parts catalog(cv-axles, a-arms and bigger joints).

While doing the rear winch I noticed I've bent my rear Track Bar.

You sure it was perfectly straight to begin with? My stock one is in the garage rafters and I’m too lazy to go look but I seem to remember it not being perfectly straight. Could be wrong

No I'm not sure. There are some deep gouges in the bottom. They follow across the rear axle tube and onto the gas tank skid.

Being in the bronco and sxs world, I hope the portals they are selling for the Gen 6 are infinitely better than the sxs version...sxs portals are high maintenance if driven at speeds or 50 mph very often and are known to break the idler gears...I would probably go the 60 route myself.

Thanks for the input. The more I study the more it seems I'll go that way.
