You are in good company….

Running in the dessert at 80 + is not my end all thing to do off roading….

In fact, wider is NOT better for already existing mountain trails for stock Bronco’s…

All I can see here is a vehicle that is specific (dessert) driven…

3.5 F150 raptor running gear is not exactly a stretch for Ford..

But what makes no sense is …. Raptors are priced way over MSRP and the Bronco Raptor will be (from what I can see) a 6 figure purchase.

question … why would Ford compete with itself!!!! (Just because they can)
Go figure!

don’t get me wrong I totally appreciate the engineering involved with the Bronco Raptor…

Is it really cool 😎??? Yes
Will I lose sleep over never owning one …
No!!!

Will I be the happiest 2door Badlands
Owner when it gets built!!!!

Ah—-YES!!!!!

Goooooo Ford!!!!
They aren’t competing with themselves if the Bronco Raptor is in a completely different price range. The Raptor will be in more high-end neighborhoods than anywhere else. As with the current F-150 Raptor. If anything, they are expanding the Bronco market.

I, like you, am not solely into high speed desert running. The size of this thing will limit the variety of off-roading it can do.

It's like they decided that since it's going to use the raptor name, it must also have the three extra amber lights as part of the signiture look. And if it has the lights, it must actually be 80 inches wide so that it becomes a legal requirement. (wouldn't want to be a poser). And so the big idea was to slap a couple of surfboards on each side as fender flares. It's less bird of prey or warthog looking and more... It's like a stanced jdm thingy mated with a huge turtle.

That must be the new Bronco Sport design on the left.

I don't think anyone caught this but the Warthog has a valved exhaust like its big brother (Raptor). There are 3 pipes coming out of the muffler. Why would you need 3? There are 3 because 1 is a straight through pipe. The other 2 behave like a regular muffled exhaust. See pic below.

The valved ehaust in the GEN3 Raptor is simply incredible. It has 4 modes (quiet, normal, sport and Baja). Give it the beans in Baja and it sounds like a GTR.

Show me the Raptor running high speed off road and catching some air. At about 2:45 is that rub marks on the shock from the tie rod?

engine heat vents. There are one on each side. See below. F150 Raptor also has them

Anyone else notice this bump on the side of the fender? Right where a charging port would go?

I wonder if there's a plug in 3.0 hybrid in that? 🤔

I see a fill plug. I hope there is a drain plug so you don't have to remove the cover.

I haven't seen anything in these Raptor teasers that would sway me away from my Badlands. I can go plenty fast on the dirt which Ford demonstrated with all those KOH ride along videos. I think the Bronco Raptor will be a good way for people to get upgraded/different parts from Ford. I am now more interested in the Bronco Everglades and see what parts come available from that.
