Is it just me or is anyone else waiting for someone to drive a Jeep through a mud hole or muddy trail then drive a bronco through a mud hole type of video.

Has there been confirmation on whether Bronco uses the cheesy fake engine noise to the speakers? It sure sounds like they piped in the thrum of a boxer engine.

i don’t think this was a citizen. Ford has a media event this week in Austin. This was likely given to a youtuber/reporter for the day. If you click on the youtube profile they do POV drives from all sorts of vehicles.

Im sure it’s an issue in other places too, but this video was filmed in the Austin area and it’s a goddamn epidemic here.

People here are addicted to driving in the left hand lane, even if they are 5-10 under the speed limit!! I’m usually the fastest sumbitch on the road (nothing crazy, 5-10 over) and I very rarely drive in the left hand lane because I’m passing everyone on the right. (And don’t even get me started on the left lane campers anywhere on the I-35 corridor.) **rant over**

I'm pretty sure the engine noise is artificial. I've never heard a 2.3L sound that good

Maybe an aftermarket intake (Ford?) would make some nice induction noise. In the beginning of the video, you can see what I think is an intake resonance chamber in the intake piping.

I enjoyed this video. Can’t wait to drive my 2.3L and control my shifting, including downshifting in lieu of always braking an automatic.

Can someone explain about the fake “piped-in” engine noise? Is that really a thing? I’ve seen it referenced here but not sure what it really is.

Love engine braking as well, wish my first car was a manual but fortunately have one now.

For the Fiesta and Focus ST they had a pipe running into the cabin from the intake. It was deleted on my car by the previous owner as a lot of people complain it gets too drony on the highway. They’re likely doing piped in through the speakers here though.

Really? This is the first I’m seeing of that. Not sure my feelings on it as it’d be my first car with piped in noise.
