HYBRID CONFIRMED!
1 of 3 possible options

- 2.3 ecoboost Hybrid 360hp 500lbft
- 3.3 n/A hybrid 320hp 320lbft
- 3.0 ecoboost hybrid 500hp 630lbft

I personally believe it will be the first choice because that motor is rumored to be for the Ranger and Everest in Australia for 2021
Where did you hear this from?

Unless something has changed in the past 6 months, there are no immediate plans for a hybrid. There may be a hybrid added with the refresh for emissions purposes, but those usually happen on a 3 year cycle. So not until 2024MY. Just because they baked hybrid capability into the display doesn't mean one is being released.
Thanks man you talked me off the ledge lol

Wasn't there rumor of the Hybrid for fall 2021? Man if it's not till 2024 that'll make me really sad. The hybrid is what I wanted, guess I'll just drive my Fusion into the ground

Well the center gauge looks impressive. Some cars you think they using 1980's graphics.

There was a hybrid originally planned when the program started back in 2016 or so, but they removed it because it wasn't needed for regulatory compliance. From what I have seen, there are currently no plans to add one in the near future.
there was a ford executive that said
in2016 the plan was to have one at launch,
then it got completely cancelled
now (as of MAY 2019) it’s back on

article is from May 2019
Damn my bad. But my point still stands. I do not think ford is backing down on having a full lineup of Ev or PHEV by the end of the decade.

Just get a 2.3 EcoBoost with the Auto or Manual. That is the engine that I am getting.

Yeah I remember when he said that and it caught me by surprise since the hybrid version had already been canned for a while by then. Maybe he was referring to a hybrid coming with the refresh a few years down the line.
I figure it’s coming for the 2023 model year.

timeline.
Spring 2021. The 2022 Ranger and Maverick (Bronco Sport Truck) Are unveiled. Available late 2021

Spring 2022. The 2023 Ranger and Bronco Hybrid AND RAPTOR unveiled. Available late 2022.

Spring 2023. The 2024 Bronco Truck is unveiled. Available early 2024.

I mean the whole point (for me) is to save money on gas for my daily driver. I doubt the Bronco I4 will get 28mpg.
So I guess I'll wait and see, save up more for a down since my trade-in value is likely going to be lower than I'd hoped.
