I had a glass T-top fly off my firebird doing 70 about 20 years ago. Saw a flash of light then woof gone!

It did not hold up as well at the bronco top.

Same happened on my 1995 Firebird when I was 17. Little brother didn't lock it after riding with them off on the way home from high school. Didn't realize it until I got on I-95 later that day and rolled down the windows. Instant destruction.

That's some good insight there. Warranty on ADV top is 1 year

That's crazy! I had the exact same thing happen to me in 94' with my Firebird going across a bridge. It's a wicked experience... lol

Damn, I though the top held up pretty well considering the abuse. It did better than I would' ev expected.

To be fair, the complaints aren't focused on the honeycomb recycled pizza boxes. But rather the micro thin coating that exhibits cracks, snakeskin, unsealed edges, etc.

It’s the manufacturing process.. I bet they are retooling to reduce the issues.. all part of 5S. To get started they probably did resin infusion on the skins which causes the cracking. I bet they transitioned into press moulding the skins now.

My intent was to purchase the best top out of the bunch. ADV is by far the best looking top but could this be the source of the delay. Trying to pioneer something that hasn't worked previously might be an issue.
