Has anyone purchased and installed the Weathertech hood protector? I like the look of it over the Aeroskin with the lip (especially since it will blend in well with a black Bronco), but I was hoping to find some pictures or reviews from people who've already installed it. I know it probably won't be as effective as the deflector with the lip, but wanted to explore different options. Also does anyone know if the Weathertech logo in the bottom right is removable?

I reached out to Weathertech for a picture of the hood protector since it's not shown on their website and they sent me this.

It will definitely protect hood from chips and bugs. I opted for the deflector and it works great keeping windshield clean. I know you said you didn’t want the one with lip but here is a picture and it goes well if you have the black grill.

I’ve got the gray grill but I really like you black one. Is it gloss or satin black? That aeroskin looks great on there.

My grill is gloss. My guard is the Ford part and it’s actually made by Bushwhacker.

I've seen that same hood deflector in gloss black if you're looking for that instead, but I think they're from different companies/replicas of that one.

Can you get your hand behind to clean and dry?

There's nothing "behind" to clean - It sits flush to the hood. Here's a bit of a better angle on mine.

Does it seal to the hood so water and dirt can't get behind it?

It's 3M taped to your hood, so there is a tiny bit of a gap but nothing crazy.

I just went into my garage to take these pictures for you:

Another angle. Agree, nothing to clean and water drains fine.

I have the same lip gaurd.
I get water pooled up in the corners while in the car wash. but the blower takes care of that. but do get ice in the corners when snow melts and then freezes. it's not bad. I do think my hood buffets a little because of it. but certainly not as bad as my F350 when I had that.

I have the AVS aeroskin 2 which is identical to the Ford one. Haven't installed it yet due to weather. One of the things I liked about it was the deflector is a square in cross section so won't be deflected downward from wind pressure when driving. I had hood deflectors on trucks in the past that the deflector was a flat piece of plastic swept up at an angle off the hood. When driving at speed these would flatten down against the hood in the middle. Some wood flutter and these I removed over concerns with paint damage. The other problem with the older design was debris (leaves, pine needles, etc.) Getting under the deflector by sliding under the upswept piece of plastic.

I have the aero skin without the lip and gloss. They call it smoke I think. I think it matches much better with the gloss grill.

Do you have a picture of this from behind? Like looking at it from the rear of the hood facing forward? I like how this one looks more but I'm just curious to see how slanted or angled it is.

This is what I went with, mostly to prevent the paint chipping. Haven't had a chance to put it on yet as my Bronco was in auto-body repair from a deer. Was too cold when I got it back.
