Broke my string of VWs, I went from a TDI wagen during dieselgate to a GTI and then another. Funny I just looked up interior space and as big as a 2 door 6G Bronco looks it's within inches of the GTI interior specs and wheelbase.

This Jeep, which was a replacement for my 03 Expy on 33" Falken's.

Would not have gotten rid of the TJ unless there was something beyond repair. Such a great and capable small, light vehicle! The amount you got couldn't have made much difference in the Broncos price. Or course I completely get the never ending upgrade path especially on multiple vehicles.

We had a van and my Bronco purchase story makes me laugh to this day…

In April of 2022 my kids were 6 and 8. We had a Honda Odyssey for 5 years and it was the main vehicle either of them had ever really known.

After nearly a year of talking about Broncos and convincing my wife I earned a fun car after years of driving a minivan I found our Bronco on the lot!

I brought the entire family for a test drive and decided to buy it. Problem was the kids were devastated that we were getting rid of our van. They didn’t realize buying the Bronco meant getting rid of the van. After all the paper work was done and we were cleaning out the van my daughter buckled herself in it and refused to get out while balling her eyes out. My son quietly got in the Bronco and on the way home I saw tears running down his face. He said, “Dad, I’m really going to miss the van.”

Needless to say change is hard but NO ONE wishes we still had the van now. We’ve made many more memories in our Bronco
My daughter was similarly upset when my wife sold her Honda Odyssey. The replacement vehicle (23 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy) was MUCH nicer than the van....but the van was where she rode all her life, to include 2 years in South Korea. Hell...my wife, despite driving a much nicer vehicle, still felt attached and emotional getting rid of the van. I wasn't sad. LOL

2020 Gladiator 3.5” lift and 35’s. Traded it on the Bronco and got $1,100 less than I paid new with almost 60,000 miles. That was 9 months ago, now they can’t give Gladiators away

My Bronco replaced a 2013 Ford Flex. AKA the "Dad Wagon." The official color name was "mineral grey" which is marketing speak for ugly brown. My teenagers considered it to be worse than a minivan. The ultimate in un-cool. I relished in being un-cool riding around with the windows down and radio up. It was good for transporting the family and supporting activities such as RC airplanes, off roading, biking, and camping.

Note - the exterior picture is off the web because I never took one until I sold it. Those photos were then deleted. I do have some photos from in and of the inside. Including it holding a few RC planes (shown here). It was comfortable, practical, reliable, and will not be missed now that the Bronco has taken its place. OK. I may miss it a little when that yellow airplane wing is sticking out from the back bumping the radio screen on the Bronco. Na, not really. Especially on a nice day with the top opened up.

For those of you using your Bronco as your daily what will it replace / or what did your Bronco replace?

For the last month I have been pretending our beloved 07 Toyota Sienna is actually a Bronco. The kids get a kick out of it or are getting tired of my commentary.

Honor your old daily! Let it live one last moment of glory on the B6G forum.

We had this for 3-4 years…took it to the OR/WA Coast 3 times, Moab, Durango, Wyoming, all over NW Montana/ North ID. Good times…but I probably won’t cry when it comes time to say goodbye!

I’ve not owned a car in 15+ years - had company trucks that whole time. I have never been very picky about cars and they were nice enough trucks, not totally stripped down with just AM radio… but once they started GPS tracking and handing out “infractions” I was done.

Before that I owned a 01 Sport Trac and a 96 Ranger - loved them both.

Should have kept it. It was fun. A LOT of fun.
But I also enjoyed an extra $11K down payment a well.
I'll find another (Currently always scanning FB Marketplace) to build up, paint up eventually.

'13 Escape base. Gutless and tiny, to replace the '09 Flex that i'd been driving that was utter flaming garbage when my wifey won a Kia from Drew Carey and CBS. It was SO MUCH better than the Flex, but I live in hills and I felt like I was always near the rev limiter just trying to get around. Doesn't help that I'm humongous. (6'10") One of the online car reselling sites bought it off me for $2500 more than the dealer offered on trade in, so that was lovely.

Like I mentioned in earlier post to broadicustomworks, not sure I would have gotten rid of the jeep. The rubicon LJ is true unicorn but I suspect you got a pretty penny for it.

1999 TJ. It’s still sitting in my driveway and I’m looking to sell it now. Held on to it while my Bronco was having electrical problems and spent half of its early life at the dealer. Now that I’ve got it back, I’m ready to part with the Jeep. Don’t know if I’ll ever be truly ready to leave it behind, as I’ve owned it for nine years and done all the work myself. It’s a great vehicle, but being in the military, it’s hard to pay the carrying costs of holding it, not to mention moving it every 2-3 years. Should be able to take out a chunk of the note on my Bronco once I sell it, and my goal is to pay off the Bronco in two years.
