What will happen to any First Editions that are reserved, but don’t end up being ordered? Will the total number just be lower, or will Ford allow others to reserve one after the ordering window is closed?

Something I’ve wondered as well. If given the chance I might go for one.

I asked if someone backed out on an order if the dealer might call someone later in line and give them a chance to buy it and was told NO . It will go on the dealers lot at a preminum :(

10k is wishful thinking in my opinion. I bet they’re marked up $20k or more.
$20k more!
So $80k plus?
I would think that will be more or just as much as the “raptor/warthog” bronco that will be out in 2022/23.
The FE won’t be worth what that is worth in the long run or right away.
But I guess dealers will charge whatever some poor sap is willing to pay.

I'm sure if you back out of your reservation after a certain date the dealer will keep it for inventory, this is the only way they are getting any it seems right now. So yeah they will all be at a premium.

For the Mach-E, Ford did a Promotion right when the order banks opened that allowed new reservations to be placed for the FE but then I think they also allowed current reservation holders to change theirs to an FE.

If not all 7000 reservations convert to orders, I can see them doing something similar for the Bronco.

$80k is a lot for sure but we’re talking about limited edition model of a re-launched iconic vehicle. Like you said, I think some poor (rich) sap will pay for it.

One thing I’ve noticed about visiting and living in a bunch of places around this country is that there’s a d**k load of people with a f**k ton of money here. Even just here in Houston, it’s jaw dropping the amount of people living like the Fresh Prince of Bellaire.

So yea, if there’s say 30 FEs on dealer lots once orders deliver, I bet it’s not even 2 weeks before they’re all bought at $80k+

Disclaimer: NO math was performed to support these claims and hypothesis
