What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

Every once in a while I see a couple with matching cars and I don't get it. Wouldn’t you want some variety in your household? Even more of a head scratcher when it's some yawnmobile like a pair of Hyundai Santa Fes.

Exactly. I'm a car guy, I like having various cars. But buying several of the same new car, when there are many interesting cars out there, excelling at various usages ... I don't get the allure of buying multiples of the same.

They are highly useful in deer country to avoid "HSVI" (High Speed Venison Impact). One angles them towards the sides of the road and hood flare is reduced greatly. Also, don't use them if traffic is present.

Ditto, as an Montana, Alaska now Idaho driver ours are aimed at the ditches too! Wish I had these years ago when I dodged Alaskan moose on the highways as a commuter. Also my covers are on as the Ford performance looks killer with the Velocity Blue lol. Also when we go star gazing/ night rides in Moab next month they will add a nice wide addition to lighting. Again keeping them just loose enough to be moved around for different angles. Also will be nice to widen the beam on winter roads to I am hoping.

There's a guy here with them on a black 2dr and it actually looks great. It's all in the wheels, he has them set out wider and it makes all the difference.

Adding luxury features to a Bronco is a fool’s errand. It isn’t a luxury car and luxury features and the price you pay for them don’t match the relatively low quality of the materials common to all Broncos.

In my unpopular opinion...

The license plate looks just fine where Ford put it. I don't need some appendage hanging off the modular bumper to hold it and get banged up.

You don't need to spend thousands of dollars for mods/addons to your Bronco that you don't have yet, or haven't even driven yet. There's no need to mod your Bronco less than a month after buying it. Learn what it can do stock and then upgrade as needed.

Most my customers have mods and accessories waiting at the parts counter before their Bronco's even arrive. I was no different. Roush intake/exhaust 1st order/mod. I knew I didn't like the stock note and had already dinged up the giant stock muffler... by day 2. The Roush improves clearance and made my "World's 1st 4wd sport's car" sound like one. That was an add slogan for the 66/67 - and spirit I feel was captured in the 2 door. The 4 door just doesn't have THAT feel to me. Also all my Mustangs were manuals and modded.

I think you are very much over simplifying this and like most things it is not entirely black and white. You cant just divide folks into two buckets based on that one simple factor.

Standard Transmissions should be Standard: to order an automatic should require a note from your doctor or a disabled plate.

There, that ought to be controversial.

I loved it when our only "mannequin" or joy ride model as I called it left was a manual. Over 75% of people that rip open the doors with excitement can not drive it. Total comedy. I even took someone for a ride in it that did order one, auto of course!

My unpopular opinion seems to be quite popular. This thing is a complete rattle trap.

You don't have a bunch of gear hanging and rattling off your seat backs?? Mine are the plastic type with wind chime like metallic carabiners. Very nice but gawd I love em. Camera gear, walkie talkies, trail gear, even my Bronco tool kit - all right in reach.
