Why did Ford make the new Ranger look just like the Colorado?

The T6 Ranger has been around since 2011 and got a facelift in 2015. That's what was introduced in America for 2019.

The Colorado got its last facelift in 2017. So Chevy made the Colorado look like the Ranger?

Well if we are going international they both look like the Hilux... I suppose it's the same logic of Home Depot and Lowes always being next to each other.

I just saw the two parked next to each other. If it wasn't for the badging I wouldn't know which was which.
The rear doors on both are so ugly - GM has an excuse as they use them on some dumpy SUV

Because there's very little creativity left in the automotive industry today. Every single mid sized truck looks the same. The Tacoma might be the only one that stands out. Same with every small and midsized SUV. They are all copy pasted from one another.

I don't totally blame the manufacturers though. The average consumer doesn't care about this stuff.

Neither do the lines on the front end of the 2021 F150.

All vehicles look more and more alike because the quest for better gas mileage makes them all get closer to the perfect aerodynamics for the best mileage. My parents bought a Nissan Rogue Sport last year. There are so many look a like small SUVs they have to hit the key fob to find it When out and about, lol.

No kidding... however, the Ridgeline looks like it was designed to be a minivan

Ridegline/Pilot/Odyssey all share the same platform/powertrain in some way or another, which roll off the same assembly line.
