Anyone got a picture of that overlanding bronco? The badlands on 35s with a RTT on it. Ford said they wanted in on the overlanders. Overlanders need payload. If you want a bronco that doesnt change height when you put things in it iit will ride like crap.
Besides all that practical stuff ass up is just damn sexy!

Does not explain a raked Bronco. The WD hitch is designed specifically to avoid sagging the rear. Gee, if only I could understand the difficult geometry.
Can you pick up the tongue of that trailer? That's the amount of weight that's going on the rear of your truck, and it will make it sag some amount.

Didn't plan on doing much modding on the Bronco since the Sasquatch package basically takes care of it but a leveling kit might be added. My Jeep came with insane factory rake, the lift took care of it.

I use Timbrens on my plow truck and love them. I'm not doing anything until I buy a new toyhauler which is on hold until I get the Bronco. I figured with the 2011 I might put a set of bags with a compressor and cab control.

Plus, it's going to be enough daylight by May that I won't need headlights until August so who cares if it's draggin ass haha

It is, kudos for pointing that out.
In our case, when towing a bale of hay, three cats, or a small chair. (shots fired at the tow rating, don't ban me)
Where are you fitting a small chair?
Oh wait, mus have ordered a 4 door! LOL

And yet everyone keeps insisting it is for load bearing reasons. Even if everyone keeps picking the wrong answer and keeps repeating it it doesn't make it right. :ROFLMAO:
Why aren’t cars raked as dramatically as well?

because cars are already low and the wheels are covered by the bumper, etc. also you'll see that pick ups mostly and suvs have air dams to help deflect air around the underbody and wheels. the front tires are the biggest impact to drag in terms of fuel economy in higher vehicles.

left with air dam and right without.

I think what needs to be clarified about this topic, is that the “rake” look occurs from the rear being raised, not the front being lowered. Certainly the rear is lifted to accommodate towing and payload.

Just remember after you throw in those cheap spacers to adjust the headlights. Way too many urban cowboys driving around blinding everyone else on the road.

Trucks have had a rake long before anyone gave a crap about mpg. Trucks used to be used for a purpose other than just driving around in style. That’s what sedans were for.
