Saw a clip from one of the pros at KOH featuring the trail cam. As an aside he mentioned that they had 3/4 tank left and 109 miles to empty . Obviously they’re going flat out for 95% of the cycle but hot damn! Lol this means nothing, but again, HOT DAMN.

I thought this had already be discussed, and what he was saying was that he had 3/4 tank of gas and there was only 109 miles on the odometer.

I'd have to go back and listen.

Yep. You were right.

Probably because they're just sitting around idling and then they're driving the snot out of them. The poor MPG calculator is trying to keep up.

Lol agreed! On a positive note I think it’s safe to say that we’ll get at least 5 mpg. Jealous, TRX? 😏. I’m considering that a win.

For those that haven't driven a turbo. As the old saying goes, "You can have good mpg's, or you can have boost. You can't have both". :)

My Ranger's sticker says 20/24/22. It will get between 19/21 around town, and 24/26 on the highway depending on the speed limit. It will get much worse when I want to play. :)

I expect the 2.3L Bronco to be close to the same mileage, and the 2.7L about 1 mpg less all around. That would be with the standard suspension, and the 3.73 gears. But, that's just a SWAG. The other gear ratios, with the big ass tires I have no idea. But, certainly anyone that orders the Squatch package is not ordering their Bronco for gas mileage.

If either engine gets better than a 2004 Nissan 3.3 V6, I'll be very happy. That engine has absolutely horrendous fuel mileage.
285 miles on 16.7 gallons. For whatever reason it got the same mileage for city and highway.

2021 Ranger tremor with 3.73 gears and 32" a/t tires is rated at 19 for both city and highway. I expect that to be what the obx gets, less for badlands and wt. Reality will be even less.

Go by Fuelly estimates.

My experience with the 2.7L was 17MPG mixed driving and 21-22 as high as 23 on the highway. Which is worse than the 5.3L V8 Chevy of the same year fwiw.
Dang. That is what I get in my F150 5.0. Cost me $80 to fill up today. I was hoping for one or two mpg better.

I drove my sons 3.73 2020 Ranger FX4 Super Crew this week, averaging just over 20mpg in combined driving, long term average. My 2.7 Crew Cab Super Crew 4x4 w/3:55 gears is just over 19. Broncos will do no better, likely somewhat worse. They don’t have the same underbody shields and low air dams and a much more upright windscreen with weights exceeding the Ranger and about equal to or even exceeding the F150. I would expect 19 or a bit less on the 2.3 2dr and 17 w/SQ. Likely about 10% penalty for 4dr and 2.7. So maybe 18 for 2dr 16 for 4dr and knock a mpg or more for SQ. So 15 or 16 for a 4dr 2.7 SQ, give or take. Driving hard will make that number worse, faster with the bigger motor and bigger tires. That’s coming from my experience with three F150s (two 2.7s and one 5.0) and one current Ranger 2.3.
