if the prices are close, I may step down to an OBx, add all the WT stuff and be able to upgrage to High and beat the WT price.
Ordering OBX with the Carbon Grey top, lux pckg, 2.7, squat challenge seems to be $2k less than Wildtrak lux.

If you replace the MIC Gray Top with the Modular Top, add Aux Switches, and Advanced 4A 4x4 your OBX will cost more than the Wildtrak. I think when you get within $2K you are probably better off with the higher trim level (BD to BL, OBX w/ Sasquatch to WT) because there are other options included In the higher trim level. Just something to think about.

I am seeing as you build up the lower model to the specs of a Wildtrak that they are within a couple thousand in price. Keep in mind that resale may be better for the higher trim levels down the road.

It seems to me that the wildtrak is the odd trim out of the bronco group. There seems be a lot about this trim level that isn’t getting mentioned, by Ford and others. No photos of this mystery decal! Yet it sure is mentioned a whole bunch. Now we‘re discussing OBX vs WT and how there isn’t that much difference except price when building an OBX up To a WT options level. I sure hope we get a lot more info on the WT soon. Is gearing going to be different, interior colors, nicer Interior than say a BL? Come on Ford, enough rock crawling. Let us see some desert running and use a WT mule! No more BL content! I’m getting envious of all the Badlands people getting to see their desired mode of off-road fun. I want high speed testing! ?
I concur with your assessment of the WT trim - it seems that it has been completely left out of media discussions, YouTube videos, etc. There has to be something "special" about this trim right? Otherwise you can literally spec just about any of the other trims to the same mechanical bronco (I don't care about GOAT modes), or even spec an OBX to the equivalent for $2K cheaper! I'm really hoping there's something yet to be revealed...I would definitely switch to an OBX if I didn't hate the body colored fender flares so much (I'd throw the running boards in the trash or sell them on eBay).

I know the top makes the difference. I think my original post stated the Carbon Grey top was the the way to accomplish what I was talking about. I didn’t consider the upfitter switches because they weren’t part of the survey near as I can tell. Trust me, I am very well aware that switches are more important than a place to put sunglasses. :). I’m only pointing out options to the budget minded who may want to throw that 2k at Ford accessories or the aftermarket. Hell only the shadow knows how much the slide out tailgate / cargo area leveling kit is going to cost.

Folks, has anyone figured out yet whether they will offer the white hard top JUST like in every single promotional video they show? I know we weren't sure a couple of months ago when I reserved both the Wildtrak and the First Edition. I'm behind on the news so did we figure out if they are going to offer that white hard top? I'm buying this car for my wife and she only wants the Cactus Grey with the White hard top JUST like in all the promotional videos. Thanks in advance for any info.

Great question. No one seems to know WHEN? It will be an option but it might not be ready by December ordering or will be delayed. That is what I am hearing.. Good luck..

Trying to compare what is missing on the OBX configuration you created that is $2000 less than a WildTrak, if anything?
OBX is my least favorite. Too pretty not enough rugged.

Well if you go Sasquatch on an OBX, I think the colored fenders go away and you get the bigger fender flares that are molded-in black color. And (this is pure speculation) would the running boards then even fit on the OBX/Sasquatch? I.e. - the running boards get deleted...

Man that would be awesome if you get the bigger black fenders! I'll just chuck the running boards or buy accessory rock sliders!

I'm now leaning back towards the Wildtrak, as I forgot about adding the Auxiliary Switches(If they're even available as an add-on for the WT and OBX), and the Advanced 4x4, which may further decrease the gap between the OBX and Wildtrak's price....

Argh! We really need that B&P and some more details about the Wildtrak. My brain is telling me to save some money and go with a decked-out OBX, but, my heart is telling me I'll enjoy the Wildtrak more and to stick with it. *laughs*

I'm there with ya. Seems some people think Obx and WT are not for hard core but I beg the differ. Disconnecting sway bar is not the end all be all. You toss Sasquatch on any of the trims and you hang with most... I'll just be sitting in a ton more comfort the 90% of the time I'm on pavement.

WT has both standard but OB adv 4x4 is optional as for the auxiliary switches in it maybe part of the 200+ accessories since it’s not standard.
