Hello all, I just received a call from my Ford dealer last week advising my Ford Bronco Wildtrak was present at the dealership. My family and I went down that evening and the Bronco looked amazing! I received a call yesterday advising while they were doing an inspection prior to the sale of the vehicle they noticed damage to the rear brackets attached to the frame. The mechanic advised during transit more than likely the vehicle wasn’t secured properly and while transporting the Bronco, it was shifting around causing the damage. I was curious if anyone had encountered this before and for everyone to look at their Bronco for possible missed damage prior to sale. I’ve waited two years for this bronco and now I have to wait on Ford to see what the outcome is on whether they are making a new one, which will take another six months, or if I can keep this one with the damage. Highly disappointed!

A word of caution. In very early deliveries back late 21 there were also a few that were not properly secured (rail) and depending on whether they were in Park and/or e-braked, damages may extend also to those two components.

Imagine, 4 tons constantly jerking at trani in P, or park brake....

Looks more like someone used those holes as a tie down point.

I greatly appreciate all of the responses. I was told 6 broncos were on the vehicle transport trailer. None of the other 5 were damaged only mine. Not sure if this is how they usually strap them down or not. The salesman I deal with, and have purchased 5 other Fords off of in the past 15 years, advised he has never seen it in his 30 years. Lucky me I guess!

To answer OPs question, it's not unusual for vehicles to be damaged in transit.

In normal times with normal vehicles the customer will never know.

Sorry your vehicle will be delayed.

Normally the dealership will fix the damage and offer the vehicle to you at a lesser price.

I wouldn't sweat it, slap some paint on there and let it ride. My hood was damaged on delivery and had to be repainted. Sometimes stuff just happens....
