I want to have my front driver/passenger windows tinted to match the rear windows. I don't know how to roll up the window when the door has been opened. The windows roll down 1/2" when you open the door and stay that way until the door is closed. I tried to use the window controls with the door open and they didn't roll back up. I'm afraid without the window fully up with the door open, I'll end up with a 1/2" gap untinted at the bottom of the glass. I didn't try with the key on but I don't like the idea of the ignition on for the whole tinting process. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

That's an easy one, you have to click in the door latch with door open, that will roll the window back up.

I did this when I bought that tint from Sticker Fab I think... turns out, I'm not very good at tinting, eventually paid to have a pro put on some ceramic tint.

I watched the window tint guy do my windows. He used a small plastic tool to smoosh it below the window sill door trim.

Any tint shop should have no issue w/ this - mine didn't & I forgot to let them know. Just ask when you check-in the vehicle.

Tint shop did ours with no issues. I never even thought of what you're saying. There were no gaps.

I tested operating the door latch by hand (fingers in hole) and the window popped right up. Thanks.

Tint shops deal with this all the time with convertibles that do the same thing as our windows. Just have to make sure you heat dry that lower part well before closing the door for the 1st time.
