Mine randomly stops working then returns to normal.
This happens to me as well. Never stays out too long and if I hold it long enough it usually comes right back. Annoying though nonetheless.

My rear window washer stopped working a couple weeks ago. I could hear the pump working and it had plenty of fluid in it, so like a lot of other people I assumed it was clogged. After some research here on Bronco 6G I found a thread that mentioned the plastic hose could be disconnected somewhere.

It wasn't easy to track down and get to, but it was in fact disconnected right at the rubber 90 on the passenger side where it turns and goes across the floor towards the driver's side. It was an easy fix, I just pushed it back together. The plastic hose went into the rubber 90 at least an inch, so hopefully this won't happen again. I have no idea how this came apart, possibly it wasn't put together very well when it was originally installed????

The bad part was I had to lift all my carpet up in the rear and on the passenger side to wipe up all the fluid that didn't drain through the weep holes. Luckily, I took my back seats out last year, so I only had to remove the passenger seat to be able to lift my carpet up and get everything dried out.

Fuse 16 was blown. It looked fine but I put my meter on it and it was bad. Popped in a new one works great....

I FOUND THE SOLUTION! 😲

Well... maybe.

Okay, so the first year we had the Bronco, we had this issue several times. Like, at least once every month or two, and most of the time it's hot here, so I doubt the cold/ice has anything to do with it (unless that's another unrelated issue, which it could be). The first couple of times, I thought the tank was low, since you can't see the fluid level visually, and I didn't even realize there's an indicator that comes on when it actually is low. Obviously, that wasn't the problem. And like many of you, this issue comes and goes at random with no clear reason.

Last year (I don't remember exactly when, but it's been several months at least) I started thinking that maybe it has something to do with the washer fluid tank experiencing a vacuum, as if it's not venting properly. So I figured I'd try something:

I drilled a tiny hole, I think about 3/32", in the filler cap. Couldn't do any harm either way. Well, guess what?

We haven't had a single incident of the washer fluid not spraying since then!

Now, does this prove anything? Of course not. It's purely anecdotal evidence, and it could just be coincidence. But we haven't changed anything else, and for some reason we haven't had the issue again.

So if you want to give it a try, it certainly won't hurt anything. You're not going to lose fluid, and it just might work. If anyone here wants to do the same, please post here if you still have a problem afterward. Likewise, if we ever have the issue pop up again on our Bronco, I'll revisit this thread and edit this post...

Good luck!
Thank you so much for posting this, I took your advice and it totally worked! First I just took the cap off and tried it and when that worked, I drilled a tiny hole like you suggested.

So what's the fix?
first, check fuse 16. It may be blown or weak. If not there, open the cap on the reservoir and try your fluid. If that solves the issue, drill a tiny hole in the cap so the reservoir can breathe. Third option is an unplugged line. It’s under the windshield cowling passenger side. Tough to get to, but right there under the cowling. Make sure the hoses didn’t come loose at the 90.

None of that worked for me on a 21 OBX. I ordered a new pump thinking it was weak. Remove old pump only to find out it was clogged at the built in filter. Had already torn the tank down to get to it so I swapped it anyway.

I now have this issue on my 2023 Ford bronco raptor. Intermittent some days it will push fluid out and other days it won’t. Gonna make an appointment at the dealer for a warranty look at it kind of annoying up here in Wisconsin with all of the bugs.
