Does anyone know the torque specification for the nuts holding the wiper pivot arms? I've searched the forum.

WAIT. There's actually marks on the OEM windshield to align this?

Wonder how many guys with aftermarket windshields don't have those marks anymore.

And apparently an eye is required to see them...

Just curious, is there any threadlock on the nut or bolt?

The shop that did the ceramic coat used #0000 steel wool to clean the windshield. I hope they didn't polish the marks away.

You could use a black Sharpie if it doesn't have them, or if they've been polished away.

They're just a guide, they don't really need to be there.

I could only see one mark. It's a heavy black line. The marks are hard to see because of the frit (the black border on the glass).

I'm going to put blue painters tape down and mark it before removing my wipers. It will make it easier to get the wipers back in the same location.

I say throw caution to the wind and wing it. Have you really tried if you've not installed and reinstalled seven times, wasting a whole afternoon in your driveway?? I mean, learn those lessons for us, so when you say, "Put some tape down, don't be an idiot" you can tack on "like me"... 🤐

When I had my glass replaced, the glass company put them back on so they were parallel when off. It looked nice, until I went to run the wipers, and the passenger side came up way too high.

I had to readjust so the passenger side has a slight downward angle when off, the driver's is parallel. It kinda drives my OCD crazy, but it was the only way they lined up correctly when running.

Also those wiper arms are a PITA to get off, even with the little puller tool.
