Fantastic to see what can be done. Make it your own and THANKS for posting, keep us informed please: I am really looking forward to modifying mine someday.

If the 'heritage edition' is ever a reality... comparing the $ it will cost to DIY will be all I need to know to decide what to do (Assuming- I will even be one of the privileged permitted to purchase a limited edition?).
Whatever...Keep making it your own- Looks great!

Well done my friend. Pretty impressive results for a "non-professional" wrapper. As with anything, there is a learning curve and future like endeavors will show improvement. That is, if you decide to wrap again, vs. paint. But you certainly have blazed a DIY trail that may inspire many others to give it a go on their own, instead of paying a huge in a custom wrap shop.
Thanks a lot for that!

Tim,
Great looking ride! I took my Bronco to a wrap place and they told me they could wrap the top but they didn't think it would adhere over time and could not guarantee their work. I would be interested in how your top is holding up. Maybe update us on how it's holding up over time. Thanks.
That sounds about right. I will definitely update in 3-6 months before I take it in for my 2.0 replacement top

This looks awesome, especially for $200. If I had a MIC 1 top I would attempt. I’m still waiting to see someone try plastidip to paint the top.

Mine is a 2.0 top, which in inspecting it yesterday is still a POS, so I don’t want to risk Ford not replacing it with a 3.0 later. Pics are mine with some snakeskin and sharp edge above the driver window.

I think the snakeskin is just going to be a thing, unfortunately. I have a couple spots on my 1.0 top and interestingly, the wrap does not cover it you can still see it even with the wrap on.

I have seen threads that speculate the outer layer of the MIC is a different plastic type that is not easily paintable

Looks awesome! Gonna need some chrome mirror caps, door handles, and maybe wheel centers to fill out the retro. I wouldnt worry about the non pro wrap job. The old original caps were super rough looking usually.

I have seen some white painted tops, but not a wrapped top. So, here is proof it can be done!

Full video below. This is not intended to be a professional-level quality wrap job. I just wanted to see if it could be done by a novice. This is a 1.0 MIC top that is going to be replaced in about 6 months anyway, so at that time I can decide if I want to do another wrap, or possibly paint it. Either way, I am very happy with the white top look, it really completes the retro vibe I am going for with this build. I bought the wrap on Amazon, 15 feet for about $180.

Let me know if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them. Here is the full video:

I used your first vid with the tires to help me with sizing for mine, I'm considering the top color change and may try the wrap also so it's reversible. Question I have is what did you do for spare tire spacers on the gate? I kept mine stock and the tire is a little too wide and angles a little outward, did you just cut yours?

Great work! I'm glad at least someone like you got one of these first and is willing to keep us all up to date while we wait and wait and wait haha.

Yes I cut about a half inch off the rubber spacer. I tried to make a video of it but it did not turn out well. Just use a very sharp exacto knife or similar and work your way around. Here is a pic:

Nice work! I too am hoping you will update with reports on how well the adhesion holds.

I would seriously consider wrapping mine (when it comes) in a matte black if the wrap holds up. The grey top on cyber orange just doesn't do it for me

Awesome work, dude. Your approach (hey, top's getting replaced anyway so why not try it?), execution and finished product might represent about the best value anyone here has spent on their Bronco yet. Less than $200 and your time = very nice. Looks great paired with those wheels and grille, too.
