Funny thing is, a couple of weeks ago I drove past the International Trucks dealer and glanced over, hoping to see a brand new International Scout parked out front.Im not denying that many early Broncos had white roofs, but Ford stole the idea from the International Scout. They had white roofs for several years before Broncos.
I had a Scout back then and it was a great vehicle for it’s time. Then International came out with the Scout II in the early 70’s and it absolutely destroyed sales of early Broncos. When Ford canceled the early Bronco the Scout II was outselling Bronco by 2 to 1.
I guess that’s why I don’t get the fascination on B6G for white roofs, in my memory it was just a lame copycat move by Ford that did not work.
You can hide the honeycomb just not the shoddy construction
That looks good. I have been debating to have my top painted white. I have an A51 getting built eventually .. I still think they missed the boat on not having a trim model that is white only and is the OJ model.

Gloss black just to break it up. I ordered from Kearny Mesa Ford and my fleet guy has already worked out cost on having their Body Shop do the painting. He said:
How long will they warranty it since there is still concern on the plastic outgassing until it is fully cured, shedding the paint?
Actually all the Broncos including my 94 and 96 all had painted removable hardtops and yes they chipped a bit but nothing that serious. They were not MIC tops they were painted.
