Wonder what the life expectancy would be for this particular wrap? Just want to factor that into my decision...

Shotsy,

Excellent question. When thinking about a wrap, typically the word wrap is related to vinyl which is a completely different type of plastic made for different things. For example, if you wanted a full-color change, stripes, numbers, decals, or graphics on your Bronco, those are used with vinyl which is generally 2-4 mils thick. Vinyl is amazing for aesthetic changes but not for protection. Vinyl also doesn't typically last longer than 2-4 years depending on the climate and rarely does it have a warranty. We say this not to put vinyl down as it's amazing for its intended function but to educate you guys on the difference between vinyl and PPF (paint protection film).

For true protection like an XPEL PPF wrap (STEALTH or ULTIMATE PLUS), the film is engineered from day 1 with protection and durability in mind. So much so that we back it up with a 10-year warranty that includes parts and labor. The warranty covers yellowing, cracking, hazing, peeling, lifting, and more. PPF is generally 8mils thick although thicker versions are now available so you're getting up to 4x the durability over vinyl wraps. We're also not saying that PPF is impenetrable because that would be silly. But it is a sacrificial barrier between your Bronco and the road. Let the film take a beating, that's it's job. It's much easier to replace PPF than to have a quality paint job done. Plus, PPF can be replaced in hours instead of repainting which could take days or weeks.

Also you hint at it but PPF can be replaced piecemeal. So if gravel tears up one fender or your hood you can replace the PPF on just that panel.

Correct, you can have single panels replaced, no problem.

We're going to have to wait until we can get our hands on one to really see what it will look like on that color. We have seen a lot of people go STEALTH on Nardo Grey with Audi, BMW, which is similar to the Chalk (Porsche) we posted earlier in this thread. Here are some other shots we found of STEALTH on those colors you mentioned.

Local shop here has quoted 3000-3500 for the Bronco. He has been following the Bronco development. Bases that off of wranglers price and where odd places are on the Bronco e.g. exposed hinges.

Is that 100% covered?
