I have two "pre" builds geared up. Which direction I go depends a lot on the pricing (of course):

OPTION 1
Doors and Trim: 4dr Black Diamond
Color: Cactus Gray
Engine and Transmission:
2.7 Auto
Roof:
MIC
Sasquatch:
Yes
Packages: Mid
Interior: MGV
Options: Towing Package, Sliding Tailgate, Swing Door Bag
DIO: roof rack w/ rails and cross bars

OPTION 2
Doors and Trim: 4dr Badlands
Color: Area 51
Engine and Transmission:
2.7 Auto
Roof:
Shadow Black Modular
Sasquatch:
No
Packages: Lux
Interior: MGV
Options: Towing Package, Sliding Tailgate
DIO: NONE (cannot afford!)

OPTION 2 the entire reason for going Badlands (for me) is for the higher package upgrade availability and I really just like the grill and high end lights better. I probably will have to drop the package down to High and forgo the B&O system. IF that turns out to be a singular add on that is exactly what I will do. I might also have to down grade from Modular Hard Top Shadow Black to the MIC top which is significantly less (based on survey pricing). If I cannot get in the door on the Badlands then baby it's SASQUATCHED BLACK DIAMOND WOOO!

Before...
Doors and Trim: 4dr OBX
Color: Velocity Blue
Engine and Transmission: 2.7 10 sp
Roof: Body Color Modular
Sasquatch: no
Packages:
high -lux
Interior: leather, colors ebony
Options: towing
DIO: roof rails, switches

After.....
I've dwelled on this decision way more than I thought necessary, even after the disappointments of the B&P after running a separate one for each of the four top models, and better understandings of my original picks with the OBX, we're in agreement that our plans are to order this vehicle when ordering opens:
OBX 4dr, Velocity Blue, Package wheels/tires, MIC Hardtop, Sound Deadening, Roof Rails, Tube Step, Lux Package, Leather Trimmed Vinyl POWER Seats space Grey w/Navy Pier, Keyless Keypad, 2.7 V6 Engine, 4x4 Select Engagement, 3.73 Final Drive, Towing Package.
Net Price $53, 170

I have no concern of Ford's reliability, aluminum construction, or ability to deliver a quality product. I've been a Ford Customer since my first Ford, a 1977 Thunderbird, which frankly fell apart and I traded it in after six months for a Toyota, in 1983 I gave Ford another chance and have been with them ever since and have bought 1 Econoline, 1 Areostar, 3 Rangers, 2 Explorers, 3 Mustang GT's, and 2 F-150's.

It doesn't appear by posts anyone is really struggling with color options as much as maybe a month or 2 ago. I was wondering, since I'm struggling with the decision, are you choosing color that would go best with your hardtop choices? For example, I have Velocity Blue, Carbonized Gray, and Rapid Red that I'm trying to decide between still, simply because I want a color that will accent the MIC gray top that comes with the 2DR Black Diamond.

Thoughts?

edit: I'm not trying to hijack, simply a question that popped up for me after reading everyone's pre b&p builds.

Looks like we need another color survey. Where were all the A51 people when the bronco was first announced? Seems like the color people pick is the most recent one shown.

At time of reservation:

Doors and Trim:
4 door Badlands
Color: A51
Engine and Transmission:
2.7 AT
Roof:
Black painted Dual Roof Package
Sasquatch:
Yes
Packages: Luxe
Interior: MGV
Options: Towing package
DIO: None

Right now, scaled back due to initial pricing info:

Doors and Trim:
4 door Black Diamond
Color: Cactus Gray or Carbonized Gray, too many people on the A51 wagon now
Engine and Transmission:
2.7 AT or 2.3 MT, depending on cost and convincing the fiancée on MT
Roof:
MIC or MIC Dual Roof Package
Sasquatch:
Yes
Packages: Mid
Interior: MGV
Options: Towing package, B&O sound system if available standalone
DIO: None

Depending on the prices and a-la-carte options, I may end up somewhere in between. How high I go depends on how much I can save over the next 3 months until orders are due, as a projection of how I can save until it's delivered.

I don’t understand why people are concerned with others in this small community having the same colors or options. In most parts of the country, if you even see another new Bronco regularly the first year or two, you’ll be the exception. Not to further splice it out by the same color or trim...
