Zip Tied Washer Bottle

I want to see the other engineering designs that were rejected in favor of the Zip tie. Someone at Ford must have been watching David Freiburger on Roadkill and then they had to one up David with their own Zip tie moment.

In the Old Days these handy zip ties would have been bulky, corrosion-prone hose clamps. There’s many locations in every car where zip ties are used to hold things in place.

Zip tie? I have that too. You have have to respect the simplicity and efficiency.

I wonder if there is a part number for that and if I needed a replacement, is it a metric or imperial zip tie?

Just picked up my new Bronco last Friday. Noticed a zip tie appearing to partially support the windshield washer bottle. Anyone else have this?

Could it be that the zip tie made it easier to bolt-in and they just didn't take the time to remove it?

Is that covered under the drive line 5/60K warranty, or just the regular 3/36 warranty. Inquiring minds want to know.

Seriously, I'm guessing that falls under the catagory of "You had one job to do". And that was to cut that thing off before the truck left the assembly line.

Honestly I dont think its supposed to come off .... the tie has tension on it

But that horizontal goose neck is the worst part itself .... its amazingly stupid!!

I just want to see what happens if you order a replacement zip tie through the parts department at your local Ford dealer:
-$49.95, plus $19.95 shipping
-3 month wait, because of 'Global Supply Constraints'
-The replacement zip tie arrives broken, and has to sit on a dirt hill with thousands of other broken zip ties while the supplier reworks them in-situ
-There is eventually a recall on that zip tie, and you have to leave your Bronco at the dealer for a week for them to replace it

You can attach a hose to the end of a funnel and snake the hose down the filler neck.

Is it supporting it or is it a manufacturing process tie to hold the bottle tight until someone comes along and bolts it on?

anyway..Tesla used wood to hold a condenser on..so next we should see steam engines
