Wonder what the "sales targets" are dependent on? Most dealers this whole time were selling out there allocations for the year but those days are mostly behind us with showroom stock numbers probably higher that ordered numbers now. With the sticker and interest rates rising higher than most peoples pay can cover $500 or $1000 might swing some to take the risk if they can cover the payment but I guess at that point it's the bank's problem.

I'm pretty sure Granger exceeded their sales targets for 23. I'll take $500!

And we all know how Ford "rewarded" them for all that hard work! They need to go ahead and give them their allocation back for the year if Ford is struggling to get Bronco's sold and maybe incorporate some of Granger's best practices (i.e. treating the customer right at a good price) to the rest of their network.

My local dealers are flooded with 2023 Broncos rotting on the lots.
This.

Before I picked up my RR Heritage like you (best color!) I looked at other Broncos and was shocked by how many were on the lot and had build dates from 8/2023. The fully loaded Badlands order I abandoned in the summer sat on the lot for 7 months and still hasn't sold. It's being discounted $3800 and there's no dealer fee/junk either.

There are more new Raptors (124) in a 250 mile radius than any other trim (Outer Banks, Wildtrak, etc).

THIS.

Granger was stellar to deal with in setting me up with my '23 Rubi in lieu of the Bronco I wanted.

I wonder if my local dealers just have a good understanding of what folks are buying
2 dealers near me and neither have too much
the dealer with two to sell now has sold two braptors since January and never had more than 6 in Broncos in stock

^^ BINGO !

My experience with Granger was superb. And Ford punished Granger for it. And now that Bronco sales are tanking, I have zero sympathy to FoMoCo..

My older brother lives. 1,200 miles away from Granger, he just bought a 1-ton Ram from Granger based on my recommendation. Ford lost that sale, but Granger got it due to surpurb service and word of mouth.

It is clear that the Dealership Cartel want dealers like Granger crushed. And we all saw which side of the arena Ford threw its hat into…

It all sounds good, but you are forgetting about deep discounts in an attempt to garner more business and allocation at a time when Broncos were hard to get. The allocation system for popular models exists for a reason, all car manufactures have it. These reasons should be obvious to anyone with business sense. I was a Grainger Oct Special order holder, and had to bail when I gleaned I was #350 out of an allocation of around 10 - 20. Grainger knew they wouldn't have vehicles for all thier order holders, so I don't think this can be considered a "best practice". Nothing against Granger, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them in the future, but for the Bronco it didn't pan out. You can blame Ford all you want, but NO manufacture is going to allow a few dealers to dominate the allocation of a very popular and hard to get model.

Ford just needs to offer 0-2.9% like they have done on the Sport throughout the past year.

I was an Oct 1st reservation holder at Granger. I think if a person held on through last year, they were rewarded by getting their Bronco built at Granger. Not sure, but I think all non HE Bronco Granger reservations were built and cleared out. I could be wrong, but not chasing a Bronco worked out in my favor after the $2k under invoice was paired with 2 Ford private offers.

I think there is a place in the market for dealerships like Granger. If supply is available and demand is there, keeping other dealerships from adding ADM with deals like Granger had is good for all involved. Whether you got a Bronco from Granger or not, having dealerships offering deals should keep others from jacking up prices. 🤷‍♂️
