The entire car manufacturing industry is being hammered by the current state of supply chain issues and fuel prices going up. Toyota is way down on Tacomas and 4Runners. Everyone is down except for Hyundai and Kia as people who are buying cars are buying sub 30K economy cars....and that is probably because quality of those brands and models are increasing plus the fuel efficiency. Millennials are buying cheaper vehicles and not buying new.

Tell that to the folks over on the Ranger page. Soultion; get the plant to full production.
It would be nice to know how many were produced. Sales is really immaterial to us order holders. We want to know and understand how many are being made each month....so we see some "hope" in this mess. Sales figures do not help us.

Thanks for posting. IMHO, sales numbers don't mean much. What is important is how many are being produced. The more produced, the faster the pipeline fills and the sooner this craziness ends. The decline to 8.5k may be due to plant shutdowns, but I'm not certain. Monthly production needs to hit 15k to begin alleviating the backlog. 20k / month would be even better. Re: chips. From my research, auto manufacturers have only them selves to blame. When they started closing plants due to covid, they cancelled chip orders. Concurrently w/ that was the introduction of 5G phones which needed chips (think Apple, etc). So chip manufacturers converted much of the lost automotive capacity to phone makers. Profits were higher and chips needed to be more advanced. Now chip makers aren't going to give those additional profits up. Do a google search. Lots of interesting reading that basically says the same thing. It takes years to bring addition manufacturing capacity on line.

Not that it helps, but most manufacturers are a huge mess. Porsche was just catching up from the ship fire and had to shut its Macan plant due to conflict in the Ukraine as an example. Shockingly the Subaru I ordered my mother is coming in a few weeks on time and with all the options included.
Kinda sad that "on time with included options" is something to be excited about these days, but such is the state of the world.

Can someone clarify for me, does the 14 days turn around include transportation time from MAP? 14 days seems long to me for custom orders. Sure, I get 2-3 days to prep and arrange a time for people to get onto the store but 2 weeks seems excessive. Or is that 14 days only calculated off non reservation dealer inventory? The maverick is turning in just 6 days. I'm sure it has a lot less dealer shenanigans but the difference for a basically sold out vehicle seems strange to me.
