80+ degrees all week here in Southern California, thought I’d take the hard top off. This is my first time removing it and was amazed how easy it was. I used a powered drill which sped things up. The video below is spead up 2x. Did all the work myself but definitely needed a friend to remove the back shell. Three minutes forty five seconds!

.

80 degrees and in a sweatshirt. What a life lol

Edit: oh yeah, also…. a fine-looking vehicle! Looks like fun! Enjoy!

Folks, don't believe everything you see on the internet!

Case in point: User states the ambient temperature is over 80 degrees yet wearing full length pants and a sweater.

Was it a balmy 80+ degree day in So-Cal???

Need I go any further into this? Aliens!

This was my main concern with the T-handles. Guess a small right-angle cordless will do the job nicely (Right-angle to reduce momentum torque)

Haha yeah little toasty. You'll see later in the video I'm wearing a t-shirt, as it got too hot for me.

Looks outside at the beautiful sunny 73 degree AZ day and wishes his Bronco would get built.

Nice! I have a four door and made quick work of removing the front panels and the midsection. The mid panel went quicker since it was only one panel. Hoping I can do the back section by myself. From what I’ve read the back section on 4 doors is 10-15lbs lighter than the 2 door back panel.

How is this any different from the last ‘topless’ thread that got shut down and deleted? 🤷‍♂️ :ROFLMAO:

I wonder if the T-Handles...
Quick-Release Tie Down Anchors from GPCA...would cut even more time off the process?
Thank you! I was trying to remember who made those!

Curious how much the rear section weighs. Hoping not too much since my wife will be the one helping me most often and too much weight could be an issue

I believe around 85 lbs...it was pretty difficult for my wife to lift off, but we are two women so YMMV

Dumb question but if you had hypothetical backseats in the rear of the 2 door, would you still be able to access the nuts necessary to remove the roof over the rear seats/tailgate?

Any faster and you'll have to put a #43 on the door.
