Your going to have issues using the PWM signal to power a relay. Been there. The PWM signal is constant 11v. At all times. It will keep your relay always latched.

There's a 12v constant and a PWM switched wire to the dome lights. The PWM signal fades out to dim the dome light and the 12v constant provides power via the button.
You do run into issues when the factory bulb isn't installed.
Yes it’s a 3 wire system. The 12v powers the LEDs and the PWM signal tells them how bright. They fade in and out, this controls that. The PWM signal is always 11v. Always. The fade is by modulation. But as far as voltage a relay will see, always 11v, relay will be always latched regardless of lighting demand.

It stays on for about a minute or two with no movement. It can also be set to ON, OFF or AUTO. It's also photosensitive, so it doesn't come on in daylight. And it isn't activated through the top, so a thief looking in from outside won't trigger it.So as you're reaching for your pop, your dome light goes on for 5 minutes?
They are rechargeable. 2500mAh so they should last a few months of use. I haven't had to recharge mine yet, and I use them all the time. I attached them to the underside of the rollbar with a little velcro. You could hardline the USB in also, They operate while charging. It's literally one of my favorite mods.

I saw posts on adding lighting to the dark interior..I was confused as to how a modern vehicle didn’t have ample interior lighting. My ‘70 Bronco is dark..BUT it’s 52 years old! I didn’t expect that problem with my new Bronco.Now this begs a question why didn't it Ford put them.
I told my husband that I think Ford cut a lot of corners with this Bronco because they know how badly people want this vehicle and how’ll they’ll be willing to overlook its shortfalls. Me included.

So with regular cab motion they dont come on? Only if you are right under them? Look great if thats the case!
There is a motion sensitive dome on them. I put a little tiny piece of black photo tape towards the front of it so me or a passenger can’t set them off. Put the clear dome towards the back.

I was considering just doing a battery powered LED and stick it on one of the pillars. It’s not often I need that much lighting.

They will come on as soon as it senses the rear swing door open. So it's really nice. Already on when you open glass door.
