Any other state have this law?

LOL! Yep, the beer laws were really something here! They did make some changes and we can buy beer and wine in some grocery stores and some gas stations now, but that has only been for about 2 years now I think.Interesting laws there in PA. I never had a harder time locating and buying a beer as I did in PA. Of course, that was ten years ago so maybe things have changed.
Ended up throwing in towel and went back to hotel empty handed. Maybe that was the point. Later educated on “beer distributors” sell beer. Not Walmart and 7-11.
PA = Nanny State.
I had the front two roof panels off.I driven with the doors off of my jeeps in Pennsylvania for the last 34 years and never had a problem. Never been stopped once.
as long as the top is off your Bronco it meets the stated requirement
" been manufactured or modified to the extent that there is no roof"
I see them everyday. The officer has to know about the law and care enough to pull you over I guess.I am sure there are lots of jeeps riding around PA with no doors on.
So do the tube doors satisfy this condition:Yep, see it all the time. I work in a 4X4 shop that is an inspection station.
"Whatta' 'ya mean it fails!!!"
Put the doors on it before you bring it to me to get inspected. It's the law. Or have tube doors on it.
Just like -44 offset with LOTS of tire poke. Yeah, I will sell them to you, mount and balance them for you, even put them on the truck. BUT I cannot inspect it for you. it is not legal. Ironically, we have run into that before. Customer brought in a truck to get lifted and we noticed it was out of inspection. Called him first and told him we will inspect it for you, BEFORE we lift it and put the wheel and tires on. The tire poke won't pass. Tech inspected it, took pics to prove it passed. Then ripped it all apart and installed the lift, wheels, and tires.
PA does have some dumb shit on the books, but so do other states. You just have to work within the rules. I know guys that just pay the fine and keep right on rollin'. Sometimes a warning requires you to remove and report to the station within 10 days so the trooper can see that you have "fixed" the problem.
Back in my Fox body days I would remove my long tube headers and "off-road" exhaust and put the stock "shorties" and cats back on every year for inspection. it's a lot of work and it sucks but I got a sticker every year.
So do the tube doors satisfy this condition:
“…doors of a type used as original equipment…”
I don’t think so
I see them everyday. The officer has to know about the law and care enough to pull you over I guess.
While I don’t agree with stopping the Bronco for not having doors on, they were completely within the legality to do so…and gave the OP a warning. No fine, no trip to court.Time to say a small prayer for that officer to fall and twist his ankle for a rough week of pain. Karma lol
