BREAKING: The UAW has reached a new contract agreement with Ford - WSJ

Ford has agreed to give factory workers a 25% wage increase over the life of the agreement, including a 11% bump in the first year. The wage increase would bump the top pay for assembly line workers from around $32 an hour to roughly $40 an hour.

The UAW has also reduced the time it takes for new hires to reach the maximum wage, reducing it to three years from eight previously.

Yikes, Ford prices will be going up quick. If you are sitting on the fence, best to buy before they do.
We're already paying to subsudize EVs. Enough is enough...

Hopefully, Ford will use this as a lesson learned and start looking at where they can move future production.

What do you honestly have against the workers? The bronco MSRP has gone up since 2021 and the workers have gotten a 3% raise and 6% over the last 4? If you believe that workers compensation is the sole reason for price increases you need to do some research.

You do have admit that a 40% raise and 32 hour work week for 40 hours of pay they were demanding was how the french say "horse pucky" ?

I've always agreed with that. A ridiculous demand at the beginning of negotiations is the right thing to do though. Think of it like negotiating a car price. No one goes in offering to pay sticker right off the bat.

So did my Bronco just appreciate up 25%?

I'm happy for them, now my employer needs to bump up my pay to comp for everyone else bumping their prices up!
