What are you really getting for $4k adding SAS to a Badlands?
BL has front/rear lockers, ADV 4x4, rims, tires, gears, shocks and springs. It’s not like you get them with SAS. You get a slightly different rim, tire size, slightly different shock/spring and a slightly different gear. What makes it $4k more?

From a purely off road capable vehicle it’s really just the bigger tires isn’t it ? Especially if you have a manual.

specific fender flares aren’t really something that’s gonna make me drop more cash than I need to.

I already had rims and tires I was going to use from another rig so I skipped the SAS. Gratuitous photo attached. 😁

My memory was $2,500

1/2” wider wheels beadlock capable
35” wider tires
Extendo rear camera to see better and different spare carrier very slightly different for brake light and stopper on the bottom.

You nailed it on the head. Short answer is not much. Suspension is almost identical. If you get a manual you get 4.7 gearing and if you want an auto you are still more than good. If you get an auto with sas savings is less but still better IMO.

I don't like the sas wheels and they are heavy and the sas goodyears wouldn't be in my top 12 tires for this truck.

Flip the stock wheels and tires for 1000, spend around 2800 -3k for new wheels and tires, sas flares if you want them for 350.

Savings is even greater for those of us that were in Wildtraks that opted to drop down to Non SAS Badlands.

It is $2500...what folks don't notice is the price for automatic transmission goes to $0 on Badlands when Sasquatch is added.

Ob I figured it would be something like that. I went with the non sas bl with optional rims myself.

I will add that the blue trails locally are just at the tip of what I’m comfortable with. The sas builds do not scrape nearly as much and just that tiny bit of clearance makes a difference. I’m leaning more and more towards 35” rubber when these wear out.
